I have been using ER 60 mg morphine sulfate x 2 daily with other meds. No one has this medicine in Tampa area and being legally blind I have no way to go to 50 pharmacies to locate because they won't tell you on the phone. I have been on oxycodone 10 mg 4 times a day for few yrs due to back surgery and no relief and now my dr changed oxycode same dosage to 3 times a day and added morphine 15 mg sulfate tabs 4 times a day. My question is.... Is it safe to take both and that many a day since i have never been on morphine before? I have ms and I've been taking at least ten oxycodone ER 30mg a day. Will this be out of my system by the 21st of September, aka next week? It sucks to have to take this but the dr only gives extended release and I needed rapid release. My body is giving up on me. Please someone that knows help, thank you!!! ## There is a good chance that they will be out of your system in 3-5 days. Although that is a fairly large amount hopefully if you drink plenty of water and stay as active as possible your system may be able to clear it. Actually, I've been facing this problem for 1 month. I've also tried advil but it works for a very short period of time while i want to get permanent relief from itching. Kindly suggest a drug or medicine name as soon as possible. Waiting for your answer.... ## I have been taking Contrave for 3 weeks but stopped last night because I started itching so bad in my palms & elbows. I have been receiving the same prescription for 7 years. I am prescribed 270 30mg oxycodone a month. I have severe back injury that is inoperable with severe neuropathy into both legs. Since the new quantity guidelines took effect, I have been unable to get my script filled. My Dr secretary drop the ball and did not get prior authorization for the extra quantity. I recently received knee surgery due to a car accident. However, I was already receiving Oxycodone for the pain associated with me tearing my ACL. The insurance company of the people who were responsible for the accident paid for my surgery, but in doing so, I violated my physician's policy of seeing another Dr. So he cut me off. I have all my medical records and I'm experiencing extreme pain. Searching for Oxy 30's on the streets are out of the question. I have been on Norco 10/325 for 7 years for chronic pain and disc problems. Needless to say they quit working. Dr just switched me to Percocet 10. Is this stronger and will it help my pain? ## Hi Bridget, Sorry to hear about your situation. To answer your question though, YES, the 10mgs of Oxycodone contained in Perocet 10/325 is reported to be more potent than 10mgs of Hydrocodone in Norco 10/325. As to how much stronger it is, answers do vary... but from what I've researched, it's analgesic effects appear to be about 1.5-3x stronger. I have randoms at my job. I know on a 5 panel drug test codeine and oxycodone will show up as an opiate. I have a prescription for both of these. My question is if they send my urine to a lab, will they be able to determine which kind of specific opiate I am taking?
