I have been taking Percocet 10/ 325 for a few years now along with flexeril 10 due to crushed and slipped discs in my neck and back. And need both knees replaced. I have had different generic brands of this medication, but since i got these past two times , i thought i had built up a tollerance or something but these do not seem to be working at all. Funny thing my aunt takes them also but gets another brand and they work just fine. So i would have to say these are somehow not working and it sounds like the company needs to get this checked out... Because it seems a lot of people have an issue with this brand not working properly. ## Use mallinckrodt, or a yellow percocet. All of the percocet are made overseas. I talked this over with docs, and I've been in pain management for over ...

I have Crohn’s disease so the 176 hydrocodone always have settled well with me, but today they gave me the M367, so as of right now I did not pick it up because I do not know if it is as strong. And I do not know how it digests. If anybody can answer this question as soon as possible I would appreciate it. Since I am out of pain medication I cannot get a hold of my doctors office. How are the M367? ## Hello Worried69, Nobody on the internet is going to be able to tell you accurately how these pills are going to react to you. The best I can do is provide you with a comparison of the two pills so that you can make an informed decision as to if you want to try these pills or not. All information I provide will be sourced from the National Institute of Health. The M367 and the 176 pil...

Can someone cause somebody in the FDA to check out this Rhodes pharmaceutical company? If the potency can vary by up to 10 to 20% what does that tell you? They're not all the same. I have had Rhodes for two days and they're pure garbage I don't know why the pharmacy changed who's paying who off but these are absolutely terrible. ## You have to file a complaint with the FDA just like I did. The more complaints the faster they'll stop forcing this crap on us! Not sure how many other people take the time to file with the FDA but we need a lot more, I'm sure. They were giving me headaches, causing dizziness, and weren't touching my pain. ## This is what I found out on the Rhodes Pharm Percocets: The 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg and 30 mg tablets contain the equivale...

Hello: So I just got something from my insurance company telling me they no longer will pay for oxy 20 or the generic..which is off the market anyway. The substitute is morphine sulfate I believe..that's what they are covering. How much of this do I need to equal one 20mg? I take 3 20's per day.. Thanks for any help I can get.. ## Oxycodone is 1.5 times stronger than Morphine, so your daily dose would need to be 90mgs of Morphine to be equivalent, so on the same dosing schedule, you would take 30mgs of the Morphine, 3 times a day. Are there any questions or comments? ## Hi Ms. Verwon, I learn something new from you all of the time. I was under the impression that Morphine was much stronger than Oxycodone. No wonder that when my doctor changed my meds from 5m percocet to 25m morp...

I take the Qualitest brand of Norco 7.5/325 and find it superior to Watson Any others agree with this opinion, or have different thoughts? ## I do not like Qualitest at all - it makes me feel like sleeping so I can't take it during the day. Watson NEVER did that to me - I can't find any pharmacies to fill my Rx with Watson any more. So bummed. ## I think Watson has recently changed formula... I used to agree with you that Watson was superior, but within the last six months I've noticed a profound change it. ## I haven't been able to buy Watson in quite a while but I believe you - I feel that every generic I have purchased does NOT work like Watson used to. I think they've changed the formula/strength without telling anyone, that way people have to buy more to get the...

Is this a prescription pain drug.? ## The correct spelling is OxyContin. ## My cousin was prescribed this drug for a minor back problem and got addicted. He tried to stop tons of times. He died last summer of mixing the drug they gave him to help him quit with this drug. I warn anyone out there, please do not take this drug no matter how much pain you are in! ## Actually, when used properly under a doctor's supervision this is a very good drug to handle chronic pain conditions. It helps many people who have exhausted other treatment options. I am very sorry to hear about your cousins death, a true tragedy and one of many that have happened due to misuse of this drug. Oxycontin should NEVER be prescribed for someone who only needs short term pain relief for a minor problem. It should...

I have been on hydrocodone for years. Never really helped with my pain. I injured my back several years ago. I just recently was prescribed hydromorphone 4 mg for chronic pain. Just wanted to know if anyone has experience with it. And what can I expect as far as side effects. Any comments would be appreciated. ## The FDA and NIH lists its typical side effects to being similar to those of other opiates, such as the Hydrocodone, so they may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, depression, and constipation. Are you on any other medications? Generally, when they gave it to me in the hospital, I experienced a lot of vomiting. ## I am curious as to how long it takes a 6mg hydromorphone (time-release) to start working? I am just starting to take it. ## Omg! I was put on that after c...

Around Oakland or Macomb Countys. WTF? ## Hello, Bob! How are you? Unfortunately, we are now into the time of year when shortages of controlled substances usually occur due to mandatory manufacturing limits. Once a manufacturer reaches their yearly allotted limit, they cannot manufacture new product, until after the new year. Each year, demand inevitable exceeds supply and shortages occur. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The best suggestion I can make is to ask your pharmacist what they do have in stock and then speak with your doctor about them prescribing that, in the meantime. Does anyone else have any ideas of suggestions? ## I'm looking for No...

orange capsules with no markings ## My back was hurting so I was giving an Orange capsule that has no markings I was told it was a 40 mg lortab is there such a thing and how can I find out what it is?? ## Hello, In the United States the FDA requires that all prescription medication have an imprint as to be identifiable for medical professionals in the event of emergencies as well as to ensure that customers are able to identify their medication. Because your medication does not have an imprint I believe that you have found something that falls under the category of something like a vitamin/supplement/dietary pill. Capsules are especially hard to identify because any person can purchase empty capsules so that they can make their own vitamins or supplements on the go. With this in mind I ...

My insurance no longer covers Oxycotin 40mg ER. I was taking it 2 x a day and also taking Oxycodone 30mg 3 x a day due to my injury. I will like to know what will be a good substitute for Oxycotin 40mg ER. Thanks a lot. ## Hello, Matraquita! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you've run into. There are several other options available, including MS Contin and Opana ER, both are time released and are available as generics. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, only your doctor can decide what would be right for you to try. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Sorry to be so negative but anytime release...

I am facing major surgery in four weeks time and I am fearful that the same will happen as in a similar operation last year. Cold turkey during recovery and no one would listen. I want to die. If they give me more morphine. Would that work. ## Yes, it could work, but only if they give you an equivalent dosage. Oxycodone is stronger than Morphine, so you would require a higher amount of the Morphine to equal what you currently take. Thus, if you are on 40mgs of Oxycodone, to prevent withdrawals and handle your pain accordingly, you'd need 60mgs of the Morphine. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It helps a lot as I dreaded that the same experience might again. I will ask for a plan that must include the correct dosage of morphine e.g. 60mg. Are you speaking from personal expe...

I have been seeing the same pain management doctor in Ohio for over 12 years for degenerative disc disease with radiculopathy and sciatica. She put me on 60mg MS Contin ER q 12 and 5-10 mg Oxycodone prn for break through pain. Now she tells me that I have to wean down to 60 mg Morphine Equivalent per day because of the new federal laws. I was able to enjoy an active lifestyle and now at 60 mg bid I am miserable and unable to do or enjoy anything. She is forcing me to go to a neuropathology doc for more injections, ablations and physical therapy which I have been through many times before without success. I worked in surgery for 36 years and refuse to go that route because most of the patients had multiple surgeries, each one making them worse. Is she being honest about these laws or jus...
