Pain Management Near Lexington, Va, Oxy 15 Mg 120/month

Have been a patient at Augusta Pain Management for 10 years. A new MD has come on staff and after telling me he would not change my meds, he reduced them by 20 pills a month for 2 months. His treatment plan for me now is to only take 80 pills a month of the Oxycodone 15 mg and to have a psychiatrist. He said I have to go to psych or no pills and has restricted me from returning to facility until I find psych care. Last appointment, he told me to find another doctor.

Hello, Prowler! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.

Do you currently have a GP that you see regularly? If so, having them refer you somewhere else for pain management will likely be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need.

Can anyone suggest another doctor in that area?

I received a registered letter from my Pain Specialist today that states I have until the end of April to find a second opinion. If I do not find another pain specialist by the end of April, I will be weaned off my medications inpatient or outpatient.
