Hello, I have almost same problem but reversed. I'm in pa looking for a methadone dr. I am from nj. if u can please send me that pa Dr's name I have herniated discs siaticas and enlarged discs. I go thru alot of pain. I been taking twice a day 40 MG of methadone w 120 percocets ! Please email me {edited for privacy} thanks

I am in great need of a private practice Dr. to prescribe methadone to me for my back pain. I have stenosis,
disc disease(with bulging and herniated)nerve involvement and arthritis. If anyone could kindly help me find

Thanks for the feedback on the doctor information. If it helps save you some time, I went ahead and posted a link below to various pain management doctors in the Philadelphia area, who are known for prescribing methadone:

While I do agree with post #6 (Gayle), who mentioned that she wouldn't recommend anyone use these types of medications, I would just take strong caution and trust your intuition on how it's really effecting you. It may also be a good idea to keep a log or calender marked for the date that you want to stop taking it. But your doctor should be able to help you map it out based on your dosage, etc; so as to avoid withdrawals.

thank you for your ad posting. I am a 26 year old female suffering from peripheral neuropathy as well as radial palsy and I am looking for a doctor in the Philadelphia area willing to prescribe methadone, as suboxone did not help and i spent years on heavy doses of oxycodone and other narcotics. I tried the numbers you already posted, but was unable to get an appt, not accepting new patients. My zip code is 19053...was wondering if you could be an angel and look up a few more doctors possibly? I would really appreciate it. I have tried to get into methadone clinics but it's because of my condition I was not accepted because of benzodiazapene that i am prescribed. Please help! I took methadone for pain. . . I am SO INCREDIBLY SORRY I EVER TOOK ANYTHING LIKE THAT! Withdrawl's, even doing a reduction of only 5mg every two weeks has been hell since I was done. When I was down to 5mg, I was doing fine so I split it and did 2.5mg's and that even seemed okay. Then after two weeks of 2.5mg's I stopped. OMG, I am miserable. . .suffering not from pain, but I cannot sleep, and have developed restless leg syndrome. I am exhausted and my body is so messed up. I would not recommend anyone use any of those drastic drugs. I have never taken anything like it before and hopefully would never be in a position to do it again. Good luck.

My husband and I recently moved from Pa. to NJ. We were seeing a rheumatologist in Pa who prescribed methadone 7.5 pills a day for my husband who suffers from DDD. He had a spinal fusion several years ago and had rods and pins in his spine. I suffer from fibromyagia, bursitis in both hips, RSD, arthritis and chronic pain syndrome. I take 30 mg of methadone in the am and 30 at night. I also take percocet 10/325 every six hours for breakthrough pain. We both have had these meds for over 5 years and are down to 2 weeks left of medication. My husband has a heart condition and methadone withdrawal could kill him. What are we to do? Who can we turn to for help? I would be grateful to anyone who can give us advise. We are both in our 60's. Please help!!! We have been through the gambit of steroid injections and such with no success.

Hello. I just wanted to thank you for your post. I've been in several serious accidents and there's not many people who understand the physical and emotional paid you go through. I was on a serious amount of oxycodone. I wanted to switch to something with a longer half-life. To do so I had to take the necessary steps. Needless to sat I had have my doctor send a letter to my. insurance company saying he won't write c11 drugs anymore in order to detox off of oxygen and get on methadone. It's been extremely hard since I can't find a doctor to treat me. I have a chance with the one posted thanks so much.
