Tiffanie, having Medicaid when you also have Medicare is not the same as having Medicaid only.
I am looking for a pain management doctor who takes cash...I have been in pain 25 years and I cannot find anyone to help me~ Please I live in ALEXNDRIA
SWIM, do you have Medicaid ? If you do, Louisiana Medicaid won't pay for Pain Management. You will have to call Pain Management Drs and ask if they take self pay patients. Some take self pay patiens and some don't. It is expensive, the first visit can me as much as $700 and the monthly cost can be as much as $250.
I cannot find a dr to take me anymore. I have been in this for 25 years, and I had heard there was a dr in Alex who takes cash and helps people. I have GOT to get help...even if it is cash!
I went to Feldman for awhile, and all he wanted to do was put a pain pump in me, and only gave me fentanyl patches, which I could not take.
SWIM, you said that you can't find a dr that will take you any longer. What is the reason that the drs give for not treating you ? How many pain managementd drs have you gotten appointments with and how many times did you see them before they said they would no longer treat you ?
Thank Tiffany that really only good news in while. I pay for Dr visit 3 dollar co pay for meds. Bless u have awesome day
My mom is 64 years old and has severe back pain. She only has Medicaid and needs to see a Louisiana pain management doctor.
I am looking for a cash only Dr that treats pain pumps in central LA and writes meds. I have chronic low back pain 2 discetomies, am on 30 mg morphine, 10 mg norco, 5mg Valium. Was going to Feldman institute in Baton Rouge but the clinic closed. I am in good standing. Can travel to MS, have contacted 2 clinics but they don't want to take me. I am 59 yrs old, have had this condition for 27 yrs, and have been Dr Felmans patient over 16 yrs.
I know the pain centers of America in Littlerock AR treats some people I know with pain pumps. I used to drive the trip every night for work, four hours one way, and four hours back. Sorry, hope it might help.
Try the Feldman Institute in Baton Rouge. You have to have injections and procedures as well if you want medications, but he also has his own MRI machine on the property. He's a brilliant doctor, and he accepts Medicaid and Medicare.
