I just moved to Nashville and need a Dr. to continue writing my Oxycodone 30mg 4/day. I have medical records & MRI showing I actually need the medication. I can get a referral if needed. I appreciate ANY help. Thank you!

I'd love to help you but they keep blocking out the email addresses. I am not going to post it in the open for fear of the wrong people getting the info and flooding my doctor and making it harder for the ones that really need the help. I don't know how to get ahold of the ones that really need it, any suggestions?

Could you please tell me drs name that you said was so good? I live in Nashville and have been having to drive to this Dr, and he wont write the pain meds I use to be on, and I'm still in alot of pain and can't do daily things my life has gone down hill. I'd appreciate it you could help me with your drs name. I wont give it out to anyone else. Thanks alot for being so helpful.

Hey I actually just seen your post that you have been going to a good place. I have been going somewhere for 4 yr given oxycodone 10 mg 4 day and today I just got a prescription for oxycodone 7.5 mg 3 a day. I need to find a dr quick that accepts tncare/amerigroup. Help me please. I am afraid of being miserable for a whole month. I'm in franklin, tn

Does anyone in know of a good pain clinic besides of CPS, CPI? I discharged myself from CPI due to changing one of my pain meds. I am on oxycodone 30mg 4x daily and oxymorohone 2x daily. The oxymorohone I can do without but need my oxycodone. I need to find one quick where I run out next week. I live in nashville. Thanks

Interventional Pain Center in Hendersonville TN is awesome, they are located across from CPS in Hendersonville. I use to go to CPS but discharged myself cause they were over medicated me, was on 120 Roxi 15mg 4x a day and 90 Oxymorphone 20mg 3x a day, they won't prescribe nothing over 15mg of Roxi but they will up the mg on oxymorphone. Then I went to CPI in Whitehouse but they are awful, was doing good on 30mg Roxi 4x a day and oxymorphone 15mg 2x a day but out of the blue they took me off oxymorphone and tried to give me the fentanyl patch so I self discharge and found Interventional Pain Center, they are very caring and good, they don't judge u at all, but they only give 15mg of Roxi, but will give the oxymorphone. I got other places if anyone needs a new PMD.

They suck! I'm no longer with them, and would have them closed if possible! Not because of what they would/wouldn't prescribe; that whole place, from the front desk, to the PAs, to the "triage", is one huge cluster----. I'm using CPS now and really like them. The whole place is friendly, professional, and they don't act like they just scraped you off the bottom of their shoe!
I hope you have a better experience. 1 week, 6 days to be exact, and I knew that place was trouble!

Pain Management Group has added new locations to their group. They are in Antioch, Murfreesboro, Cool Springs, MT Juliette and West Nashville now.

I'm looking for new pain management in Nashville or clarksville who takes United healthcare. Pain clinic I'm at now is not caring and they dont understand when u been in the same pain meds for 3 years and they dropped my pain meds and since i been there for 5 months I've been in the worst pain since i lost my leg. I'm losing my limbs due to my condition and they dont care. I need help. I was on roxi 30mg 4x daily and oxymorphone 20mg 3x a day. Now they push me down to 15mg 4x daily 7.5 oxymorphone 2x a day. And they will not up me for my pain. Please help.

The odds of getting a prescription for that strength and dosage as a new patient are slim to none in this day an age of pharmaceutical abuse. CPS Comprehensive Pain Specialists or PMG Pain Management Group are the 2 major providers in Nashville and surrounding communities. Both require a current MRI or CT Scan and will start you on a lower dose, only once other preventative methods (like inj's.) and time have failed will they increase medications. Learn to pace yourself to lessen the inevitable pain that comes with over exertion.

Hey Jay. I actually live in Nashboro village. And I went to the walgreens and they would not fill it cause my pain clinic is in Clarksville. Which is stupid when i live right down the 3rd from Walgreens. And not my fault that only place I could find to take my insurance is in Clarksville

I need help in finding a PM doctor who does not judge and understands my healthcare problems. The condition I suffer from is not curable and only treated through pain management. Doctors need to understand that everyone's pain is different and quit treating as a pill junkie. I would give anything to get out of pain management but i can't live in pain. I tried to give up pain management and lasted 2 weeks. The pain I was in had my life miserable. I had no life, couldn't or have no quality in life. My PCP is supervising my pain management till January till I got to find a pain management Doctor. Any advice. CPS and PMG doesn't accept my insurance. I have United Healthcare. TennCare/Medicaid. SSI Disability. Plz help

Hi. My name is Courtney and I'm desperately in need of a caring PM doctor that doesn't just want to spend 15 minutes with you, write some pills, and send u out the door. I've been on 120 roxy 30mg for over 3 yrs, I absolutely HAVE having to depend on Medicine to get through the day, but it has improved my quality of life tremendously and now that I've moved to TN I am having such a hard time finding a dr that isn't judgemental or think I'm "drug seeking" because I asked for a specific drug and the only reason I did is because of how great it's worked for me plus i have records proving the issues I have with my back, neck, both knees and one of my shoulders. Until I moved here I'd never even heard of the term "drug seeking" . Anyway I just saw where you offered to help someone else with a recommendation for a PM dr and was hoping you would do the same for me. Thanks for your time.

There are a couple of PM providers that still Rx opiates/opioids but only as a complimentary to interventional techniques, and in very limited quantities. If you have a gp referal,insurance,documented history and verifiable procedure reports give me a shout out perhaps I can assist you.

P.S: If your looking for Rx therapy alone with powerful narcotics no prescriber is willing to jeopardize their license as they are under extraordinary pressure from the DEA.

Visit the state of tn dept of health webpage and put in pain clinics, then select your county & it will show all the registered pain clinics, info, director etc. There will be a public hearing on pain clinics on july 24th at mainstream drive. The info is on the website & we chronic pain patients need to stand up and be heard! We can't let the government do this to us. Now the fda is stopping the manufacturing of opana er that a lot of responsible patients take. When will it end? Dept of health, cdc, dea, fda, are killing elderly, sick n wounded soldiers but cutting our meds. There are no laws right now saying a pain dr must only prescribe certain medd (morphine equivalent daily dose). Only pcp can give under 120mg day but must refer patients to pain management 2x/yr for consultation, but if we don't do something they will take our lives completely away from us that need this medicine to work and have a better quality of life!!! Educate yourself and don't let dr's lie to you!! Email, call and complain to all government officials. Find advocates, sign petitions. Do all you can bc nothing will get better until we demand it!! We must have our correct dosages of medications back, not inj's that don't work!!!

Does anyone know of pain clinics around Jackson, Tn; Union City, Tn; Gibson Tn; Lauderdale Tn.? Or anywhere north of Memphis, TN that's not associated with CPS (Comprehensive Pain Specialist)? They seem to be a monopoly in Tennessee.
