I currently suffer from lyme disease as well as to be co-existing Bacterial infections.
Suffered for over four years, until I finally was diagnosed. I had to go to Washington DC, and finally did the proper testing, which showed positive for Lyme disease, as well as Babesiosis, Babisia, and Bartonellosis. It has now caused extreme illnesses. Because The new teams in prescribing pain medication, my doctor can no longer is able to prescribe, a schedule to drug, due to the fact that she is out-of-state. I cannot find anybody in my area, who is willing to treat me,because they don't think that Lyme disease, can be chronic. I do not abuse medication, I just need help please. Can somebody recommended a clinic, that is located close to Ohio, or in Ohio. I am located in Akron Ohio. I need a pain physician ASAP! I've been in the emergency room, on several occasions. They will not prescribe any pain medication. I was on oxycodone 10 mg three times a day, and OxyContin PRN, at night. One and a half tablets, 5 mg, up to three times in the evening, depending on my pain level. I also have a letter of referral, from my physician treating my Lyme disease. I have been with pain management doctors who said they could not treat Lyme disease. Please help! At this point I am totally desperate. Makes me very angry, at people who use drugs, when people, such as myself suffer so terribly with no help.

I am very sorry that you're in pain and miserable. Lyme's can be very draining and cause a lot of pain.

Unfortunately, walk-in clinics also won't prescribe potent narcotics, anymore. New regulations were put in place that severely discourage them from doing so and instruct them to refer you to a specialist. So, you'll need to stick with a pain management specialist, as per the DEA requests, and that will require an appointment, they don't usually do walk-ins.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in Ohio?

Is there a chance that your other doctor might be able to refer you to a colleague? That might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need.
