Pain Doctor In Michigan Or Ne Ohio Who Prescribes Oxycodone

Looking for pain dr in Michigan or NE Ohio who prescribes oxycodone. I have been taking this for 8 years now and need to find a physician here. I recently moved up here from FL and am having a hard time finding a replacement doctor so I can stay on same meds... Please help! Thanks1

I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that might be of service to you in so far as finding pain management doctors (within your general area), who are typically more willing to prescribe those types of medications.

I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients. You may even want to go schedule a visit in person to get a real vibe for the doctor.

How have you been checking for a new doctor?

Have you been calling and asking if they will prescribe it?

If so, that's likely to create a problem right there. Most doctors are taught to see that as drug seeking behavior and will just say no and not even let you get in the door.

What you have to do is get in for an appointment with a new doctor and just make sure that they get a full copy of your recent medical records. Once they can see what has and hasn't worked for you as documented by a fellow physician, they will be more prone to prescribe accordingly.

Recently my finance and me had our doctor change from private practice to a hospital job , gave me and my girl our records and a last 30 day supply of meds. My girl has M.S. and has been on meds over 10 years (every kind methadone, oxycodone, oxycontin,) I myself have been on a high number of oxycodone 30's #240 for 3 years, we both have insurance (medicade) and are really havin a hard time findin a descent doctor that actually cares about quality of life, we live in Trumbull County , N.E. ohio and just want to see my girl and I get the help we need?? If anyone can plz help and knows a good doctor that would help oir situation plz inquire!!!

I live i south west ohio and get oxymorphone 30 mg er. There amazing i have plenty. Doctors dont give easily depending on whats going on with u. But i have plenty be careful if your not used to these there easily as strong as 1-2 of the old 80 OC'S These that i have defininetly not for someone new that havent been on stronger meds.

May I ask who your Dr is. I have Rsd & no one will do surgery & I have been declined 5 physical therapist bc I'm a liability. I had several surgerys. Multiple nerve & tendon transfers and Dr botched my arm & my nerves. It's getting worse & just want some relief so I can take care of my kids.
