UpdatedTHE 853 NORCO DOES NOT HELP MY PAIN AS WELL AS THE YELLOW TINTED ONES. PLUS THEY UPED THE PRICE DOUBLE.

I used CVS for my prescriptions until last month, when I tried Walgreens to fill my script for Norco 10/325. When I saw they were white instead of yellow I thought I was given the 5/500 strength in error, since I knew those are white. I called Walgreens and was assured these Watson 853's were the exact same ingredients as the Norco 10/325. After taking my usual dosage, I was shocked to feel almost no relief....maybe 10% relief. After this happened, i went on the internet and read about others who had the same bad experience. Today when I got my new script I went back to Walgreens and told the pharmacy I wanted the other generic, NOT the Watson 853. They said that's the only one they receive from their shipper, now. So, I took back my script and said I'd have to go somewhere else, because they're just not effective. The pharmacist said he has been hearing the same comment quite a lot, and apologized..... and I went back to CVS, where I received the yellow ones I had before. Finally, I now feel pain relief after 30 days of taking that worthless CHALK. I went through a month of needless suffering because of this. If I had extra cash to throw around, I'd have the Watson 853 white pills analyzed. They are NOT the same medicine. Then .....after reading all the posts similar to mine, I laughed out loud when I saw someone put a post up that ranted---"THE WATSON 853's and Norco 10/325's ARE THE SAME -- END OF STORY! THIS IS JUST MORE BRAINWASHING in the USA..." (in response to all the NUMEROUS OTHER people who had the same experience I did). Obviously a person with that mindset has NOT experienced REAL chronic PAIN, or....more than likely has some financial interest (stock, perhaps?) in WATSON 853's. I hope enough patients come forward --and maybe they'll stop using this "product".
I have taken the yellow ones for over 8 years and I suffer from severe rheumatoid arthritis. The yellow ones worked well and I was able to go back to work part time. When I hot my script and they were white, I thought something was wrong. So Zi asked the pharmacist. He assured me it was the same. No it is not. I took the white ones, my pain worsened and I got fired from that job because I couldn't do the work anymore. Who can we talk to about changing it back? Those white ones that have Watson 853 or m367 on them ate a joke. I want my pain meds back. They worked and these don't. I don't care about any dye, I just want to be pain free.
It's not the color of the pill that caused the reduction in pain relief provided. It's the manufacturer. I went through the same thing as the rest of you when my Norco was switched to the white pills put out by Qualitest. By trial and error I found the same medication, hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10-325, manufactured by Amneal. It works very well, just like the original Norco. You have to call around to the smaller pharmacies and ask them who manufactures their "Norco". No one is going to order a specific brand just for you. Find a pharmacy that carries the Amneal made drug, and go there.
