I JUST PICKED UP MY PRESCRIPTION OMEPRAZOLE CR 40MG CAP. (90 CAPS) AND I PAID $132.46
FROM WALMART. IS THIS THE RIGHT PRICE? THANKS FOR YOUR TROUBLE.

I'm on Medicare Rx so whay I pay can differ widely from your cost if no insurance? My cost for 90 day supply of Omeprazole is $15.00..Omeprazole is available over the counter for approx 25.00 per 42 caplets/capsules. I've seen the Walgreens Generic for as little as 18.99 for
42ct package. Hope this is of some help.

Yes, I'm afraid there is no set price, it will vary from pharmacy to pharmacy and area to area. Unlike Canada, the U.S. doesn't have regulations in price to keep the prices more uniform and reasonable for prescription medications.


Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach and treat conditions such as heartburn, GERD, ulcers and gastritis.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, stomach pain and flatulence.

Since you're taking 40mgs, I don't think you'll save much purchasing over the counter, since those are only 20mgs.
