Percocet M357 Vs Percocet 512 (Top voted first)

Hey guys, I was wondering what pill is stronger of these two? norco Watson 853 which contains 325mg Acetaminophen and 10mg of hydrocodone, VS oxycodone (Percocet) 512 325mg acetaminophen and 5mg oxycodone. I was wondering which one was stronger, also which one is more addictive because the doctor prescribed me both of these for my bulged disk plates in my back. Not at the same time of course but I was getting used to the norcos and they were not easing my pain as good as they used too so we decided to try something different. Please only real responses I'm trying to look out for my liver. Thanks
M357 is NOT percocet, it is a different class of narcotic pain reliever called lorcet or hydrocodone. it is a generic version and not as strong as a perc 5/12
Hello BulgeL4L5...as far as which one is stronger from a pain stand point I think that you will get a lot more relief from the oxycodone than from the hydrocodone...and as far as the protecting your liver, I completely understand where you are coming from (as a person who has been on pain meds for a long time I worry about that too)...there is the same amount of Acetaminophen in each of these medicines...and HOPEFULLY your doctor does tests (at least every 3-6 months) on your liver (most doctors who prescribe pain meds do)...But if you are really worried about your liver then you might want to discuss with your doctor this concern and maybe he (or she) can put you on oxycodone (they have different mg tablets that have NO Acetaminophen in them & I am NOT TALKING about Oxycontin (that is the time released version) this one is most known by the name Oxycodone (sometimes it has HCL by it, not sure what that stands for) and sometimes it says IR which means "instant release" but DON'T let the "instant" part scare you the "release time" is the same as a regular Percocet or Norco, just not "Time release" or "Extended release" like Oxycontin is...Hope I helped you at least a little
That is correct, M357 contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Hydrocodone, so this is not an equivelent to Percocet, but, as stated above, a generic for Vicodin or Lortab.
It is still a narcotic pain reliever, but not as strong as those containing Oxycodone.
This pill marked 512 contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Oxycodone and is a generic for Percocet.
Side effects are similar for both and can include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Is there anything else I can help you with?
No. They are 1/2 the potency of the 1000.
Regardless which is stronger go with the med that relieves your pain... And if Hydrocodone isn't doiin the trick... Switch to the oxycodone... Its important not just for your pain to be lessened but also once your pain is at a tolerable level your quality of live will improve.. Its amazing how many people must suffer physically and mentally because of the ignorance of Drs and yes addiction is always a risk but try to take it ONLY when needed and get some other pain meds that arents narcotic for those somewhat tolerable day... Wish you the best hun...
Hello all. I have been addicted to oxycontin 30 mgs for a few months. If I stop taking them (a few per day) a feel very, very sick and I can't function. I really don't know where to turn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a family and I don't want to ruin that.
I to was going through well still kinda. My advise don't take it as a way to have fun, take them as you medicine.its all a mind thing trust and believe.
I know the feeling. You have to slowly take yourself off of it lower the dosage day by day. Stopping cold turkey will give you withdrawal symptoms. I was prescribed perc after my c section and was popping them like candy but I only got 30 no refills and wasn't going to street pharmacy to get any. When its easily accessible it becomes harder to stop.

First of all there is no pain medicine that is going to kill your pain it is made to help you function this is how ppl get hooked they take more and more hoping to stop the pain youll find that some of the foods you eat are cause of most of your pain.
I live with the very same conditions you do, although not the right circumstances, I don't feel so different ir brojen, if you will. Anyway, I have a change in insurance and have to find a new doctir, can you recommend soneone?
Just to let everyone know pain pills are a great way to function properly throughout the day if needed but remember the seriousness of abusing any opiate. Many illicit drug addicts are former prescriptions pain medicine abusers. When the opiate pills no longer work the street drugs become used to seek a feeling no longer given by the prescription meds. Be careful and God bless.
Re: lynn (# 1)
Can you be subscribed to take 2 of the 512 Percocet at same time!
Oxy is stronger. And you can get hooked on them easy. I seen it happen to a family member.
Does the pill that says m357 give the same affects as a Percocet ?
i recently discontinued use of the long acting narcotic patch . I felt that it was not helping me and I was right. I did feel more "awake" and I want to continue this way. I am going to a new Pain Management Doctor, who doesn't look like he wants my input at all, so he might me short lived.
My conditions are several, all in my cervical spine. I have osteoporosis, stenosis, degenerative bone. I have daily muscle spasms. My neck feels rigid. I take oxycocone, 20 mg. every 4- 5 hours sometimes with 500 mg acetaminophen. There are times even on that routine that I still have significant pain. Do you have any suggestions or information that will help me when the Dr mentions long acting pain medications, Thanks
