Ozempic And Nerve Pain

Hi. Has anyone experienced nerve pain with Ozempic?

I noticed last week that I was having nerve pain in my cheek, which is not unusual for me as I have neuralgia after suffering an aneurysm.

However, now it's spread to my ears, both sides of my face and into my neck.

If anyone has had nerve issues, do they go away after stopping the use of Ozempic?

I took Wegovy for 5 weeks and stopped because it was causing constipation. Now 2 months after stopping I feel like I’m getting pings in my abdomen- maybe nerve pain. I have to take miralax to help me go to the bathroom. I’m feeling these drugs are not all they are cracked up to be. Going for bloodwork and sonogram to investigate. Anyone else having side effects with Wegovy?

Mirella, have you consulted your doctor?

Since you already have neuralgia, there is a chance that your symptoms aren't related to the Ozemptic, they may be due to a worsening of your existing condition.

Are you on any other medications?

Ozempic may cause side effects, such as nausea, bloating, headache, dizziness, and hypotension.

Momabear, constipation is known to be a possible side effect, as well, but side effects should go away, in time, once you stop taking the given medication.

Did your results show anything? Are you on any other medications?

Thanks for your message. I did consult my dr and he thought it was strange side effect but it is a very rare one that can happen. I ceased the ozempic and couldn’t take lyrica or other meds as I get reactions to them. Just took pain meds but no help. I finally decided to take prednisolone for a week and that’s what made my nerve pain subside finally
