Oxymorphone Or Oxycontin Equivalent Pain Meds

So I've been in pain management for 10 plus yrs. I never liked the morphine sulfate ER except for the 100mg pills witch are nearly impossible to get prescribed. They worked great. I've usually been on Oxycontin 30mg or 20's. Although I've found the 60's and 80's work best. And about 4-5 yrs ago I got started on Oxymorphone 30mg. The ones made by Actavis were by far the best thing out there. Then they stopped making them and the only generic made is by Global. Now these 30mg are not bad at all, and are by far the best thing out there as of now. But my doc made it his business to drop me down to the 20mg, and when I say these are garbage, they are garbage. It takes 3-4 20mg to get the effect of one 30mg.

I've mentioned something to my doc at least 3 different times in a 2 year period and he stops me mid sentence "if you're asking for an increase it's not happening". So I'm stuck running out of my meds in 2 weeks time (at least the ER meds). And my local mom n pop pharmacy who has been with me for 10yrs on and off just told me last month that it's getting harder and harder to get them ordered (and that usually means they're trying to phase them out or stop making them). So he said "have you thought about switching to something else?" I told him over the years I have tried other ER meds and none even come close to the Oxymorphone or Oxycontin if need be.

So my question is does anyone out there recommend anything I can try aside from these two meds? And before people try and say switch to Fentanyl, that ain't happening. Both me and my doc don't want to go down that road. And Dilaudid just doesn't agree with me. I've tried Xtampza and it was barely just o.k And I don't want to do methadone. So excluding those I just mentioned can anyone make a suggestion? And as you can tell I have a pretty high tolerance, please keep that in mind. Any and all help much appreciated thank you

Subutex. It saved my life. No more pain. No more running out of pills. No stress.
