Oxymorphone Moon Brand

Are the oxymorphone half moons still being dispensed? My pharmacy changed back and forth twice from moons to g's and now just g's for a while. The problem is the cost increased by hundreds of dollars. I live in Biloxi. My pharmacy told me that this is the only brand being sold right now. Is this true? If so I may need to see about switching pain meds. My insurance does not cover oxymorphone at all.

Hello, Kaysha! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having.

Many medications have gone up, a lot, in price, though I can't give a valid reason as to why this happened, other than possibly supply and demand.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Along with asking about switching medications, your other alternative is to check with various local pharmacies to see if any of them have a cheaper price.

Is there anything else I can help with?
