Oxymorphone Discount

Can anyone please help. I am going through transitioning doctors and Insurances. Currently no Insurance. long story short I am having to pay for my prescription of 120 Oxymorphone er 40mg. Yet the lowest I can find is still around $600 !!! With discount card. Yikes!! My research has found there are NO programs available. I have found Discount cards, but nothing substantial. Does anyone have a good lead? I'm grateful I am down to a single pain med. But financially its straining.

I know exactly how you feel because I've been in the very same situation. That certainly is a ridiculous price. Honestly, the best option is to consider discussing with your pain doctor the possibility of switching to a different pain medication once you get settled with a new doctor because there are other drugs in the same category that will work exactly the same, but cost much less. For example, 40mg Opana ER is equal to 60mg of Morphine ER, yet the price difference is profound. The cost for 120 pills of 60mg Morphine ER is only $140. I looked at several places online for the lowest price on your medication and could not find anything less than the $600 range that you stated. You might want to try calling the Prescription Assistance Program at 855-569-6337 for some help. I know of people who joined that program and were able to get their pain meds for practically nothing. Good luck on things.

Thank you for your reply. I had tried a few different medications prior. Most I needed 2 or more different ones daily. But, this exact one has given me a quality of life that I am so grateful for. I have searched many programs. There isn't any unfortunately. I also contacted the 3 companies known to make and dispense this medication. Again no luck. I believe I'm going to have to put myself out there (like this post) and pray someone has answers or leads. Thank you again.

Since Oxymorphone is a generic, which is cheaper by it's very nature, there aren't any assistance programs for it.

However, if your doctor will prescribe the name brand, Opana ER, you may be able to get assistance with it by calling Endo at 866-824-4747.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

I appreciate any and all advice. I know its known that because they have almost the same igredients, that they should be ecxactly the same. But it's not. Not only that, it seemed to be harder on my kidneys/stomach. I'm hoping someone reads my post and has a discount card that is a huge break. Or know of a program for this medication. But you are correct. Its not available right now.

I give anything for that mg @ that price. Here you'd pay $1,150 would be the lowest without a discount for the 40s. Remember pharmacies don't like to stock much if any due to the exspense and high risk to be targeted by the not so honest of people. I pay 550. for the 15s quant...90

Oh my goodness. I thought my cost was high. Well when I go to the pharmacy next, I will give you the discount card I'm using. Also, I'd shop many other locations. When I started at that quantity and dosage, the cost was under $100.

Hello. I do not think you can get Opana (Brand). They pulled it because they were abusing it and they kept Generic only. I do not think I am wrong. It is very expensive. I wish I could find a pain doctor.. the one I see is using us to make a lot of money. We have to go weekly, he won't give me my Oxymorphone and he cut my Percocet in half. I am in so much pain. I live in Rappahannock County Virginia. Please, I will call anywhere a doctor cares to help. I looked into cell transplant. Not covered, so that is out. This doctor made my appointment for 8 PM on a Saturday. He sees people at 5 Am on Sundays. He is money greedy. I stay because nothing else is here for me. I am 66 with disabilities and replaced knees and back surgery. I need my medications he will not do the right thing. I am desperate for proper help. I am one of the ones who would never take medication not mine. I will help anybody I can... understand we are in desperate times.
