Oxymorphone Ir 5 Mg Oral Tablet, Tevo Or Endo

This is my first time taking Oxymorphone. After being on Oxycodone since mid 2000's, my pain dr. finally talked me into trying them. So far I can only find the Tevo and Endo brand and after reading what a lot of people have said about them, I'm confused on which brand to get. I have one more pharmacy to check out, have to go see them as they won't tell me over the phone, which I find strange since I use their other pharmacy (they're closer to my dr.). This time I saw my pain dr. early so I have my 'script and get them filled on 7/8/16. Since I have a few days, I've researched Oxymorphone and the manufactors (sp) and am now more confused on who I should try. Tevo? Endo? It's for the 5 mg. IR Oral Tablet. I'd appreciate any help from those of you that use them to help with your pain, not to abuse them. Thanks so much!

Talked to other pharmacy today and all they have is the Teva brand too. So can anyone please help me and tell me the best one that helps with pain? Teva or Endo? (this goes along with the original post). Thank you~

Hello, Cynthia! How are you? I'm sorry that you've not received any response, yet.

However, I think it is mainly due to the fact that this can vary from person to person. The medication from one manufacturer that works well for someone else might not work for you and vice-versa.

The only way to know which one is the best for you is to try it and see.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Have you gotten it filled, yet?

No I haven't gotten it filled it yet. Will get it filled in the morning and probably will get the Teva brand. I don't feel as nervous about taking them after talking with a pharmacist about the side effects.

I sure hope Someone will reply to this question. I finally got my script filled after paying for it myself but that's a different story.

What I'd like to know is this: Can I safely cut the 5 mg IR in half? ...I called 2 different pharmacists and asked them, one was yes and the other said no. Yeah, that helped a lot...not! I don't want to call another one and it get back to my doctor (who I'm Really upset with but again, that's different story). I know you cannot cut the ER ones in half, don't care about them as I don't have those. I've tried googling it but get answers only on the ER ones...grrr....this day has not been good to me. I might end up reposting this question elsewhere, one that is active since really (as you can see, I've had no luck with this one). Wonder if Verwon would know the answer?

Please remember this is for the... 5 mg. IR Oxymorphone HCL 5 Mg. Tablet by Teva .....I took one and seemed like I kept smelling wax or like a candle that had just been blown out... smell didn't last long.
