Oxymorphone Er Generic By Global Pharmacy (Page 12) (Top voted first)

Hi,

Since I heard that Impax finally got the green light to distribute Oxymorphone ER (Opana ER) generic through Global Pharmacy. I didn't hesitate to rush to my PM doc and he instantly had me switch to this new drug. He prescribed me 40 mg twice per day to treat my busted back & fibromyalgia.

I noticed the pill is round in shape with G74 on one side with nothing on the other. The color for the 40 mg ER tablet is an orangy/gold color. Ever since Endo ruined their product with the new TRF formulation. I promised myself to jump back on the bandwagon as soon as the generics were released.

Today is a great day for all who suffer chronic pain. Yay! 8-)

I have been having that problem with my last two refills..I also don't seem to be having the pain relief anymore and I am relying more and more on my breakthru pain medication. I don't know what else would work as well...does anyone know of anything else to try. I am lucky that this is the only pain medication covered under a program by Johnson and Johnson. I don't have any insurance so I have to be careful of costs. I feel I am never out of pain anymore.

coolioni, Hey Bro, i live in Charlotte North Carolina, i go to cvs, and i tried to get them to order it for me every month but they tell me they can't cos they can only get so many in a month, but if one place doesn't have it then i find a cvs that will so i am able to get it filled...i figure atleast one place has it that is all that matters to me...so its no big deal for me to go to one or to the other, one of them usually has it like 3 times in a row i was able to get it at the same cvs...

Hi there,
After a botched back procedure, DDD and sciatica I have found Opana rear. I have been on this for about 3 yrs. it's the Cadillac of pain medsin my book. The only drug you can function and don't feel a need to increase.

I was on the old ones initially for a while the mkt was dry. Why is the new formulation problematic? I agree my tummy liked the old one better not ingesting all this plastic crap. In you opinion did that change the strength or something about Opana?

It's all about the MME for PM, which is just a smokescreen I believe. I will survive as eventually will find someone who cares but I feel like I should be enjoying life somewhat, not having this constant worry.

Just an update for anyone interested: They (my pharmacy) gave me the oxymorphone ir for breakthrough pain (a whopping 2 a day), but they put me on OxyContin 20 mg bid. But I tell u, unless you're opioid naive they are absolutely worthless. He offered to put me on fentanyl first (that may have been a trick?) but I told him I didn't want to be on it bc of the stigma. I would rather be on like 6 oxymorphone ir daily, forget the long-acting s***, as I read that oxymorphone ir lasts like 6 hours & personally I agree, but they r soon going to pull this!

hi, i just saw that you said there r new 40 opana. plz tell me more. r u saying the new ones r tamper resistant but taking them orally?, they r better then the old ones? is that correct? any help would be appreciated

I Agree, they are tamper resistant, thank God because taken orally at 40 mg 1 every 12 hours, it s a strong . Medication, coming from a chronic pain patient with severe pain. Very effective and I understand how one could easily overdose on this if the time r err lease was able to be broken and injected into a needle, or snorted. HERE is a fact however, I was rx d a month worth and about 3 weeks in my tolerance was growing rapidly.

Peaches. When I was on the patch, I had the same problem of them not staying on my skin. I went to my local pharmacy and bought some water-resistant adhesive tape and had to tape all four edges to my skin. That did the trick for me!! I hope that this will work for you, as well.
