Oxymorphone Er Generic By Global Pharmacy (Page 2)
(Newest replies first)

Hi, Since I heard that Impax finally got the green light to distribute Oxymorphone ER (Opana ER) generic through Global Pharmacy. I didn't hesitate to rush to my PM doc and he instantly had me switch to this new drug. He prescribed me 40 mg twice per day to treat my busted back & fibromyalgia. I noticed the pill is round in shape with G74 on one side with nothing on the other. The color for the 40 mg ER tablet is an orangy/gold color. Ever since Endo ruined their product with the new TRF formulation. I promised myself to jump back on the bandwagon as soon as the generics were released. Today is a great day for all who suffer chronic pain. Yay! 8-) Moon
Re: RAWDOG (# 209)
My insurance company recently will not pay for my oxymorphone er even though I have been taking the same dosage since 2011. They MAY only pay for one 40 mg pill a day. I’m going to be switching insurance companies soon and was wondering if you could let me know what insurance co. you found that does cover them. Any information you could pass on would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!
Re: Eileen (# 208)
What's High Mark? And if that insurance does not cover it you need to do your research and find one that does cover the oxymorphone. It took me a half a dozen phone calls to all different insurance companies to find one that did cover those. And it cost me 80 bucks a month n the oxymorphone was 168.00 bucks. Witch is not to bad considering they cost 700.00 to fill without insurance and most places won't take you unless you do have insurance. All's I can say is keep calling around n find the best price
Re: RAWDOG (# 199)
I went to switch insurances & went to high mark & they said oxymorphone er or ir is not on their formulary.
Re: timalan63 (# 205)
You do know this is only a CVS rule not Insurance or FDA. I don’t know how they can make there own rules considering they are #1 for stealing meds! I know this because it happened to me on Klonopin & I even called the cops in the store on my them a few years ago. My Insurance is also considered CVS Caremark CO. Even though the actually card doesn’t say that. I am Disabled & the only changes is they don’t cover generic. I get SSID & the other is part Medicare for what they don’t pay for. However, I am allergic to a lot of pain meds so if I wanted it covered I could. I was switched to OxyContin & so far it is ok not as strong in this cold weather it don’t help but it is covered. Just letting you know if you go to any other pharmacy the 25 day Rules does not apply. I hope this helps & if I could go back to the other Opana ER I would it worked better & lasted the 12 hours. I think they just didn’t want to give enough $ to the FDA, so they pulled it. There is no way they would pull a medication for 2 deaths by inj. ruin which is almost impossible with the real ones over all the others that are much easier & cheaper & have killed many more people than 2. They are making a mess of the people who really need it. Which is funny because they’re the ones who started this problem in the 70s when they couldn’t control the population revolting against the government so they decided to give them LSD but now there is that opiate crisis, which is really an illicit drug crisis. And many other new things that I’ve never even heard of in my life. OK I said enough, I’m just getting myself mad. I hope the people out there are actually getting the pain meds they need & the addicts stick to something else!
Re: timalan63 (# 205)
Yes everyone is getting them according to twitter. I don't know if you are allowed to pay cash with your pain mgmt. l know l am not allowed, but maybe u can, l hope. You can also try & fight it!
Re: timalan63 (# 200)
I got a letter from CVS telling me Starting as of Feb. 1. 2018 the amount of opioid medication your prescription benefit plan will cover is changing, your medication affected by this change, and the new limits, are listed below.
OXYMORPHONE TAB 10MG ER 60 TABLETS/25 DAYS THAT IS FOR RETAIL PHARMACY LIMIT AND FOR MAIL SERVICE LIMIT 180 TABLETS/75 DAYS.
I NOW GET 90 TABLETS FOR 30 DAYS.

Re: TitedofbeinginPain (# 186)
How do I pay for them, with Blue Cross Blue Shield? I only pay 60 a month for my insurance and 60 bucks a month for my oxymorphone ER's. EVERYTHING else is 2 bucks. I got SUPER lucky this year!!!! Now next year I pay ZERO a MONTH BUT, I pay 160.00 a month for the oxymorphone ER's so I'll be paying 40 bucks more this month for my script. But, that's STILL a GREAT DEAL!! They're a class 6 on the drug chart thru Blue Cross, that's why I pay so much. The oxycodone 30mg is only a class 3 - big difference. And a shout out to my Blue Cross agent for finding a loophole cause it WAS gonna be 248.00 a month for the insurance and 160.00 a month for the script of oxymorphone ER's, so thank GOD she came thru with that different quote!!!
Re: Eileen (# 196)
Technically to say there is no generic Oxycontin is true, Oxycontin is a brand name. But I found multiple manufacturers still supplying the generic equivalent named Oxycodone HCL ER (Extend Release). They are technically the same thing although some have different abuse prevention additives. Just as Opana, another brand was pulled, the oxymorphone HCL ER (generic equivalent to Opana) is still being supplied as I have been able to continue my scripts without interruption in AZ. Every state\pharmacy varies but this is all valid info as of 12/15/2017.
Re: RAWDOG (# 195)
All the OxyContin 20 does is mess wth my short term memory. Going to anthr p mgmt in a couple weeks wish me luck l need it, sounds like u r doing great fighting the fght!
Re: RAWDOG (# 195)
My pharmacist says "there is no generic OxyContin" r u saying it extempia?
Re: Eileen (# 191)
I still get the oxymorphone ER's my doc still writes them and I still get them filled no problems so sorry to hear their doing and saying that you can't have or get them no more. And their are generic oxycontin (generics) Xztampa ER and theirs two more I listed them on an older post just scroll down. But oxycontin is no good only the 80's maybe the 60's are just o.k. these generics aren't even close to half as good as them. So we have to wait till someone else to make a good generic ER oxycontin that works good sorry....
Long range radiomanthere is no generic OxyContin, read up in it, either u misspoke or gave incorrect information!
