Oxycontin Alternatives
UpdatedI would like to know if there is any pain medication that compares or is an alternative to oxycontin (80mg), besides opana?

There is a time released Morphine on the market, as both a generic and under the name brand MS Contin. It is not as strong as Oxycodone, so you would require a higher dosage. If you were taking 80mgs of Oxycontin, then you'd need 120mgs of MS Contin.

There is also a patch on the market, which contains the active ingredient Fentanyl, it is very potent, over 80 times stronger than Morphine.

Are there any other questions?
I am on 80mg oxycontin, what strength ms contin would I require as a equivalent?
I broke 10 vertebrae in a serious accident a number of years ago. I have been taking Oxycontin 30mg ER for several years to help with chronic pain. My health insurance just changed and will not cover Oxycontin. What would be a comparable narcotic pain medicine to Oxycontin 30mg ER?
