Oxycontin 80mg Op Are Going Back To Oc (Page 12) (Top voted first)
Updatedswitching back to original form
you should all tryy cannabiss and its concentrates it really helps alot more than theseee so called medss
Austin is right about drinking lots of water while taking the OP formulation. I can tell a huge difference in the way they work and the length of time they work when I drink extra water throughout the day. I'm not talking about drowning yourself, but in your awake hours drink 12+ glasses of water or so. You'll figure out how much extra water you need to do the job. I'm glad Austin said something about drinking extra water on this OP formulation because it's rarely discussed and important due to the way Purdue Pharmaceutical made these OP pH dependent and the extra water does help it to dissolve better over its lifespan.
Yeah I get them from chemist warehouse... I've mentioned the Sandoz brand in previous posts... The sandoz branded Oxys have a oily residue that protects the time realise hiden inside the powder. If you peel and crush between some paper and draw heat over it (without burning the paper) you will see what I'm talking about. There still good and much better than the OPs but not as long lasting as the original OCs
trip james,i think i love you.my thoughts exactly.
i am on my 4th day of stopping subutex,bc i was deteriorating with each day.my dr told me to take 3 20mg of purdue poison and 4 oxycodone 15s a day,to ease wd .i am a wimp, being a virgin, to this kind of withdrawal.talk about subs,it makes it easy for hospital staff not to deal with our wd,but it's harder to get off of,and does a lot of damage."just stay on it 'til u die"we're ginny pigs.First time i was holding a wet op and got that ball of gummy stuff rolled up.i guess i should eat that, now???
Where in australia? I'm in melbourne.
The Sandoz oxycodone cr are not made buy Purdue whatsoever, they do not have op 80 on them at all ??? they are based on the old OxyContin formula. I have been taking them since they came out in Australia after the brand name oxy got reformulated and went to s***! Purdue has nothing to do with them. Purdue/mundipharma took Sandoz to court to try and stop them from making generics with the old formula but they lost and we have the good OxyCodone. It has been available for along time now. I have boxes of the 80mg OxyCodone Sandoz brand with me now and I can assure you that you are wrong. I'll try and post pics of the boxes and pills too.
How much is a script of 60 generic 80 mg. At Walgreen's?
Did you by any chance also suck out some stomach acids from your innards to see if it dissolved? I don't doubt you when you say one might pass through now and then but the design is based on direct chemistry of the stomach acids reacting with the coating on the pill...any antacid will cause the chemistry to alter and without stomach acid at average strength the coating remains in gel form. Best results with these extreme coatings happen when the pill is washed down with lemonade or taken with any food that increases the acid in your gut. So something you either ate or drank reduced the acids and all the water in the world will simply cause the protective coatings to gel up... that's the point..so you don't abuse it.. some coatings will increase in hardness in absence of acid and some gel up... water is the catylist that sets off the protection..acid breaks through.
Re: John (# 8)
Graduated higher.....
Why are you going off because of bad spelling? Says lost insurance too.
Re: Never no way (# 28)
Let me tell you something. You're on here complaining just like all "junkies". Guess how I became a junkie? My family doctor prescribed me a wonder drug with a twenty percent chance of becoming dependent on it; as you are now obviously or you wouldn't be on this chat site. And just so you know there is still the same amount of pain medication being released in the same time frame as the original Wonder drug. So stop your b****ing about us "junkies" because I can promise you that a great many of us, myself included, had no idea that by a doctor prescribing us something to stop the pain we were or could still be in from happening would change my life forever. Trust me I would have rode out the pain. But you see now whether you believe it or not I have been given a disease called addiction that I'll have to battle the rest of my life just like you.
the new ops 80mg.does, not stop my pain because it;s
not the same and it does not ,ease my pain because,
my pain is so severe, when they go back to,the old
one,s like 80 mg. Oxycontin, witch made my pain ease up better than these new one,s
To answer your question, Justin, your spelling is extremely poor which, I suspect, (and hope!) is deliberate, presumably designed to be irritating. (It's not irritating--it's hilarious!) And to clarify--my problem is not with the occasional spelling/grammatical/etc. mistake; we all make those. However, sometimes there are so many errors in a posting that it's difficult to tell what the contributor is trying to communicate, as was also stated by another person in an earlier reply. The point is encourage people to make sure that anything which they have to say is clear. It's a shame when potentially helpful contributions are clouded because of an abundance of spelling and other format errors. You keep working on that spelling--I'm sure you can do better!:-)
Nowhere is it described that OxyContin 80mg (either OC or OP) provides an instant release of 40ng of oxycodone. Rather, the 80mg, like all strengths, delivers the oxycodone at a consistent rate over 12 hours. That means the 80mg strength releases approx 6 2/3 mg oxycodone per hour. Not 40mg all at once.
That Zohydro ER max dose is 50mg which is approximately 62.5% of the Oxycontin 80mg dose. You wouldn't get anywhere near the same pain relief. Your doctor should be prescribing instant release pain medication for the breakthrough pain the OP formulation causes by taking so long to work. Mine does and so do most other doctors too. I'm currently taking 30mg Roxicodone for the breakthrough pain. From what I've heard from my doctor, Purdue Pharmaceutical is working on another Oxycontin formulation, but he had no idea when it would release or if it would once again have an instant release component. I'm betting it will release before the current patent runs out... The OC formulation has an instant release component the OP formulation doesn't have. I know of no where in North America that still has the OC formulation due to the DEA restrictions. If the OP formulation is really that bad controlling your pain try MS Contin, extended release Hydromorphone or extended release Oxymorphone. With opiates what works for one person's pain well may not work on yours as well. Hopefully you have a doctor that will work with you to find the best drug combination to help your pain situation. Good Luck!
The New oc80 r not like the old one it all week week week
Cmon dude that is one of the biggest BS stories I have heard. The dissolve eventually I mean you are crazy.
I am only saying this as a person who sees that you do need help. If you arent addicted to pain meds it should just be uncomfortable when coming off. But if your body cannot function without them then i think you may habe a problem. Have you thought about trying suboxone? When i lost my insurance a while ago i realized that i had an addiction to my medication. Then when i could no longer afford to see the dr and get my meds i turned to some pretty hard stuff before i got help. My life has been so much better since finding suboxone. I also have a disease that causes chronic pain and the suboxone helps with the pain as well and is alot more affordable than what you're going to end up paying for your meds. Again i mean no disrespect its just i read your post and it reminded me of what i went through before i turned to self medicating. If you dont care to try the suboxone then i wish you the best of luck and hope you can figure something out so your able to control your pain
Isn't it illegal to fill an out of country script? If it's not it should be!
Yes I was smart and saved t them to ask now with $450 a pill. They have been stored to keep them as strong as day was made sorry cannot disclose that information is top secret.
