Oxycontin 80mg Green Tab (Page 3) (Top voted first)

Updated

I came across some green pills that look like OC 80's but they are imprinted with APO on one side and OCD 80 on the other. Can someone please tell me what they might be?

@ToBBB, I had posted a reply on the new topic. @RetiredRN, it says that it was posted 22 hours ago, but that's not when they were released. The Apo-Oxy's were launched Nov. 26th, a day after the patent expired. Same with the Co-Oxy's by Cobalt. I'm not exactly sure for the PMS-Oxy's by Pharmascience, because their sites all f***y, but I have the product monograph for the pms-oxy's, as well as the other 2.

ive had nothing but problems since they took the old ones away but have been hospitalized twice.1st is was hydromorphs,2nd oxyneo 3rd ms contin 4th oxy generic 5 fentanyl patches. for ppl on odsp there is something called ease of access with my hospital discharge it says discontinue oxyneo so my dr cant give it to me.everything morphine puts me to sleep. this ease of access is for oxyneo or oxycontin.my pharmacist told me with your drs. note i can get the old ones back so i figre with one discharge saying d/c oxyneo and another saying pain medication issues it shouldn't be too hard convincing my dr to write the letter. its my last hope!!!

What's with everyone freaking on here? No one was even fighting lmao. Yeah, addicts will abuse pills, addicts will abuse what they can. But whatever, no reason to be freaking on this thread when no one has been.

@Crissy, try Rexall maybe. It all depends on where you are in the country, province, or even city. You might have to do some searching before you find a pharmacy that carries them. With all of the media so focused on the criticism on oxy, from the robberies and all, much of the pharmacies are scared to stock them, or even to do a special order. So hopefully you won't have to search much.

I too am in Windsor, ON and have been prescribed oxycodone for almost 5 years do to two seriously messed up shoulders, 3 surgeries and what have you but anyhow, I am now being prescribed the new generic oxycodone CR's and can tell you that I've now had three different versions of them, the "PMS" (pharmascience inc), the "CO" (Cobalt Pharmaceuticals) and now the "APO" (Apotex) and they are ALL MUCH BETTER than the Neo's. The PMS are very similar to Neo's in shape and size and when mixed with water they too will form a gelatin like form but they do crush but keep in mind the powder will gum up in your sinuses if you attempt to insulfate them, the Cobalt ones don't and nor do the Apo ones. They are nearly the same as the good old contins. Anyhow I pay $301.70 for 400 tablets of 20mg to last 3 months, cash. All the generics are the same price and in Ontario they are under a dollar a tablet for the 20mg tablets, no matter if they're sandoz or teva or cobalt or apo or pms... they are all the same price.

The reason the PMS ones are "tamper-resistant" is so that ODSB will cover them. They will only cover controlled release oxy that has some sort of tamper proofing. The Apo's under no circumstance will be covered by OSDB.

Anyhow happy shopping! And in no way shape or form to I condone misuse or abuse of any prescription medication or any substance for that matter. Use responsibly and properly as that is what they're for!

Oh, forgot to mention, for public relations purposes most big name dispensaries will not confirm over the phone that they will order of dispense the new generics, for obvious reasons (I too called Costco and Shoppers before my first script of the new generics and they all denied but continue reading); once or If your dr prescribes you it and present you prescription they WILL IT, EVERYTIME but phone calls or even in general in-person inquiries will be told that generic extended or controlled release oxy scripts won't be filled.

All you need to do is have your dr fax your script over there or bring it in with you (whatever your dr normally does) and VOILLA, YOU'LL HAVE YOUR MEDS, 10000000% guaranteed! It's an appearence thing, or like I said a PR thing. The last thing they need is a headline in a local or national paper saying "Shopper's Enables Oxy Addicts" or something like that ... C'mon people, you're smarter than this...

Again, happy shopping and please use your medication responsibly and don't over do it, death is much worse than a little withdrawal or pain right ;)

Cheers,
IPIW

Hi InPainInWindsor, I was wondering, I'm on the 40 mg APO oxcodone, among my other meds. Apo is the only one I have tried, after the ox neos of course (so glad Perdue's patent expired, hated them and paying DOUBLE for them! You mentioned you'd tried a few of the generics, which in your opinion, did you prefer the most?

The green tablets you have are the generic oxycodone controlled released 80mg tabs by Apotex pharma. The new generic "OxyContin".

@DannyD, I personally don't think anyone is on here to score stuff, and if they are, that's not a smart decision. Its a discussion forum, not a place to get stuff online.
