There is a BIG difference between addiction and dependence. Those who do not abuse the drug and take it only as prescribed become dependent, because their bodies get used to having the substance.
An addict does things like what you were talking about and they keep taking more and more of the drug.
Please be careful with your comments, some might find them offensive.
There are many legitimate uses for Oxycontin, many different pain conditions and for those of us who need them, they are a godsend.
Djm, just as I posted above, it is a 20mg. Identifying this stuff for people is my job here.
Contrary to what you are told by doctors and pharmacists, generics can differ significantly from the name brand and from on generic to the another.
The truth is, they are allowed to differ in the ACTIVE ingredient by as much as plus or minus 20%, so sometimes you may not be getting as much of the drug as you did when you were taking the name brand or a different generic.
You might want to ask your doctor to write brand medically necessary on your prescription so you can avoid this problem in the future.
Wow man, It's sad to see how many people are addicted to pain meds. Listening to how your talking about it. Was watching the news 3 days ago, and saw my best friends older brother getting put into a cop car. He was robbing pharmacy's for oxycontin. I hope your not that bad, but you take em long enough you'll be in the same boat.
G 162 IS NOT 40mgs!
This is a 20mg Oxycodone tablet.
By the way, yes, they still are making generics of it. If you want the name brand then ask your doctor to write brand medically necessary on your prescription.
There IS a different between name brands and generics, so sometimes they just don't work as well.
Watson Oxycodone 20 mg helped me- these pills that are thicker and labeeled one side only G162- suck! I am not sure if they are 20mg or 40mg but to be honest it feels like NO Milligrams whatsoever! We all have to go back to PERDUE Oxycontin anyhow they are not making generics of this anymore!
