I had surgery yesterday. I was given Tramadol and it is not alleviating the pain. Could I take Oxycodone and Acetaminophen together? ## Yes, they can be taken together, as long as your medical provider approves. The FDA does warn that Oxycodone carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications?

I've noticed the 10mg k56 and the 15mg a214 effect me differently at the same dose (1.5 ks or 1 a) I know generics are supposed to be equivalent but we all know that's just not what's been happening (mallinkrodt generic Norco Percocet and oxycodone all are not better than Tylenol and their dilaudid is not the same as other brands either. But I was wondering in people's experience and opinion what kind of generic oxycodone provide the most relief. (3 car accidents, 3 surgeries) ## 10mgs and 15mgs are not the same dosage. One is higher than the other, so they will not work the same. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. The Norco, Percocet, and...

I am awaiting surgery for spondylolisthesis and taking either oxycodone or hydrocodone for the pain as needed (no more than 1-2 a day, and usually in the evening). Both of these medications leave me with a headache. Are there any other medications to help alleviate the pain, while not causing a headache? Thank you. ## Hello, Roger! How are you? A headache can be a normal side effect of opiate medications, I always get a horrible one from Dilaudid. The FDA warns that they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I've already mentioned Dilaudid, which is one you could speak to your doctor about trying. You could also discuss Morphine and Opana. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I appr...

I had brain surgery 3 mos. ago. Was almost off the oxycodone when I developed a bone infection in my skull. Went on very high dose. Came out of the hospital with a PICC line and on 20 mg ir oxycodone 6 x a day. Down to 5mg 6 x a day but now I am having a very hard time reducing anymore. Can I go down by half and not have any wd symptoms? Or should I come down slower. ## It might be best to taper slower, your doctor should be able to help you set up a proper schedule. Are you taking the regular release, or the time released formulation? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

On 4/12/17, I received my monthly script of Oxycodone from Walgreens, from Mfg. Actavis as Oxycodone/Acetaminophen 10-325MG TB. The medication did not dull my pain as usual, but continued to use and began to feel very ill, vomiting and having diarrhea, ending up in the hospital for four days, during which I lost all my strength and needed Physical Therapy for three months and I am still having to use a walker. There was never a diagnosis of the cause of my hospitalization, but now I know that after I had not used the medication for a period of three months and now needed pain relief again, that after ll days of use, I was experiencing the same thing that had put me in the hospital in the first place, the Actavis Oxycodone! There is a problem with Actavis and they should be investigated....

I took a Robaxin, Gabapentin and an Oxycodone together and I just wanted to know if that was safe? ## According to FDA warnings, taking all 3 of them together could cause increased depression of the central nervous system, which could result in increased insomnia, dizziness, and drowsiness. Taking too much could result in coma, and possible death. How are you feeling? Did you experience any problems?

I found methamphetamine in my system but I only take Oxycodone from Actavis mfgr; pill number a215. How could that be? ## Gimbo, are you taking any other over the counter product (such as cold medicine) or an herbal / diet supplement? As far as I'm aware there should not be any methamphetamines in your system just from the Oxycodone since those are 2 completely different classes of drugs. ## That has happened to me and it was definetly a lab mistake because I've never taken that. That might be your problem too cuz labs mess up ALOT way more than you'd think.

I am just worried for a friend. I found pills and found out what they were and how they were being used and I am concerned.. ## Some of the side effects of abuse may possibly include addiction, with withdrawals if they run out, chronic constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, pinpoint pupils and the risk of organ damage and overdose. Oxycodone is classified by the FDA as a narcotic, so being addicted to it and abusing it can be very dangerous and is something your friend should get help with. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## If your friend is just taking 1 or 2 just to not be in pain she's prob just trying to live life without being in pain all the time. Believe it or not most drs now won't give u anything these days for pain. On the other hand if she's not in pain ...

I am a T7 paraplegic with severe spasticity and chronic pain due to a bullet in my spine. As of February I have been looking for a Dr that is compassionate and will take me on as a patient. I have been taking a 100mcg/hr fentanyl patch every 72 hours along with 30mg of oxycodone every 6 hours for the last 9 years. Actually it was reduced from a patch every 48 hours and 30mg of oxycodone every 4 hours 2.5 years ago. I left my last pain management Dr after a disagreement with his new Nurse Practitioner and no willingness to help or see me on his part. I am currently in desperate need of a new pain management Dr. My primary care physician chase managed my pain medication for the last 9 months and can not help for much longer as my retirements are beyond her scope of practice. Without pain ...

Does anyone know a pain clinic that perscribes oxycodone and doesn't judge you? ## Hello, Superm! How are you? Due to the new regulations, all doctors must proceed with extreme caution when prescribing controlled substances, or they risk losing their license to practice medication. Oxycodone is a very potent narcotic analgesic that can be habit forming and is very frequently abused, so you really just have to be prepared to jump through the hoops, if you want a doctor to prescribe it for you. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Do you have a PCP that could refer you to someone? ## If you find one please let me know! ## Looking for pain management clinics or doctors in Kentucky that will accept patients who have been on suboxone for the past two years.

Dr is doing this after 6 years of oxycodone and 3 yrs of morphine er. Not sure why she is doing to me. I even offered to bring my meds in for med count. What should I expect with her doing this? I'm scared that Dr is doing this. When I've been chronic pain patient for long time. Before she believed I was in lot of pain. I hurt my kidneys n liver for taking up to 30 over counter pain reliever just to function at work ## Hello, Nick! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. How much is she lowering them and what were your normal dosages? The DEA has issued a new directive telling doctors that, unless someone has a possibly fatal illness such as stage 4 cancer, they should not be prescribed more than the equivalent of 120mgs of Morphine per day, some states h...

I've been on pain management for about six years and am having difficulty. I first noticed it with 20 mg IR tabs that my doctor replaced for 10 mg tabs, my insurance was only going to pay for so many. It wasn't three days that I realized that these weren't right. I got almost through the bottle that month in less time than I was supposed to and went back to my doctor for answers. He chastised me, sent me packin'. Then after some research like on this site, I printed the comments by fellow pain management suffers. That's when he fessed up about the manufacturers of generic are mostly off by as much as 20%, other comments have given it to be as much as 30%. Usually the error of pain killer is off to the negative side. That is my experience. Well, that's my story an...

I have been taking Oxycodone 10 mg tablets four daily and Oxycontin 10 mg once daily at bedtime for several years. For the past month I've been going from hot to cold daily. Sometimes it only lasts for a short while, but more and more the episodes are lasting most of the day. Could this possibily be caused from my doses needing to be increased? I really don't want to increase the amount of these meds, but these hot/cold/hot/cold spells are driving me crazy. I'm a 71 year old woman and even the amount that I'm presently taking continues to make me sleepy, and this is why I don't want to increase the amount that I'm already taking. Thank you for any help you may offer. ## It is really hard to say, according to FDA reports, there are many different issues that could...

Does anyone understand the new opioid law that was recently passed? It seems doctors can not prescribe 30 milligrams of oxycodone without being hospitalized, or a cancer patient. What is going to happen to all the chronic pain patients? The suicide rate will go up, and illicit drugs will be used as a substitute. This law helps no one, but hurts all chronic pain sufferers. The government has gone crazy, and in their infinite wisdom overstepped their bounds, they are not doctors. ## It isn't that they can't prescribe it, it is just that they have to be very, very careful about doing so, or they could risk losing their license to practice medicine, as well as fines and jail time. This has made many doctors very reluctant to prescribe it and, in most cases, someone has to see a spec...

I'm in search of what this pill is... I cannot find it on the online and need help... Thank you. ## In need of help finding out what I found ... a pink pill w A215 ## Hello, Kim! How are you? Have you found anything, yet? I'm sorry, I've checked several databases, provided by the NIH and the FDA, but they all list the tablet with this marking as being blue, not pink. Can you please double check the imprint and post back? Thank you! For anyone looking for information on the blue on, it is manufactured by Actavis and they list it as containing 30mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, headache, and dry mouth.

I have to tae a drug test for probation on the 29th of september. For some reason the oxy 80 oc's stayed in my system sometimes for as long as 14 days and were then detected in a drug test preformed by my p.o. My question is.....is the detiction time for these new op oxy's the same as the old oc oxy's?or is it detected in your system for longer? ## It contains the exact same active ingredient, Oxycodone, so it will be detectable for about the same time. The length of time it stays in your system can vary, depending on how long you were taking it and how high of an amount. Do you have any other questions? ## I took 3 40 mg tablets n 3 days. How long will they stay in my system? I have a high metabolism, weigh about 120 and I only took it those 3 times with the 8th being the l...

Oxycodone 30 mg compound no markings blue and white ## A medication specially ordered by your doctor and done at a compounding pharmacy would usually not have any markings, they just use unmarked capsules. The FDA classifies Oxycodone as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Purple and green capsule no markings but has a sweet taste it's supposed to be a OxyContin ## Does anyone notice that tadte has alot to do with the effectiveness of their pain meds? I have noticed that the more bitter the pill the more effective it is , the more bland or sweeter it is the more non effective.

do these work as good as the blue mp 30 roxy 30? ## These white round pills are reportedly identified as oxycodone 30 mg. Didn't check the manufacturer but they are the same as all other 30mg oxycodones. Now, some say the manufacturer makes a big difference in how the meds work and I have to agree due to my experiences with many of them. Nonetheless, your pills are OXYCODONE. ## I suppose this message will make it on here before my previous message.....anyway, your white, round, 30 rp, pill is Oxycodone Hcl 30mg. It is a narcotic which I'm sure you know. It is made by Rhodes pharmaceutical and I would assume would work like the blue ones or any other. It just depends on if you are sensitive to binders and fillers that are also in the med.....or sensitive to oxycodone itself. Hop...
