I dont take my oxycontin 10mg cause they make me crazy. explained it to the dr. And they want to change my prescription. I asked for percocet instead and can't get them for my pain. So Mon I took one right before I went to the dr. to get my refills. I must have passed the test cause they gave me the prescription to have refilled. It is a regular release formulation. There are actually 3 different formulations of Oxycodone available, the regular release, an instant release and the time released that's called Oxycontin. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have had two cervical fusions, five levels of herniated lumbar disk, stenosis, bone spurs and arthritis. I have been taking Oxycodone 15mg 3 X daily for one year. I have noticed less pain relief for shorter periods lately. I see a pan management MD once a month. I don't want to come across as asking for stronger drugs. I would like to know what the next step is when Oxycodone is not effective any longer? Also, how is the best way to talk to my doctor about this? I have had steroid shots and neurotomies performed with little success. I am still keeping up my Grandchildren every day and have no problems with addiction. tiny round seafoam green pill W on one side and 05 on the other ## i found the same pill ## What is it I was told it is an oxycodone or OxyContin ## I believe the marking you are looking at is actually meant to be M over 05. It is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 5mgs of Oxybutynin. It is most commonly used to treat urinary frequency. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and blurred vision. Is the marking printed on the tablet in black?

I have sickle cell anemia and our pain is up there with cancer, 10+ scale but they treat us like 2nd class citizen buttmy problem today is that I'm noticing that the more I'm taking my 30mg Roxycodones 2 every 4 hours as needed and the pain is excruciating and getting so much worse. Too the point that everytime i take them u have worse horrible back pain. It's pass a scale of 1-10. It's ER bad. I need some help. My new doctor, prescribed me 30mg Oxycodone 1 pill 3 times a day and also oxycontin SR 20mg ter 1 pill every 12 hours which I was told is an extended release. He is going to check my urine on 8/27/13 and today is 8/13/13 next time I meet him. I have been on oxycodone 10 mg 4 times a day for few yrs due to back surgery and no relief and now my dr changed oxycode same dosage to 3 times a day and added morphine 15 mg sulfate tabs 4 times a day. My question is.... Is it safe to take both and that many a day since i have never been on morphine before? I have been receiving the same prescription for 7 years. I am prescribed 270 30mg oxycodone a month. I have severe back injury that is inoperable with severe neuropathy into both legs. Since the new quantity guidelines took effect, I have been unable to get my script filled. My Dr secretary drop the ball and did not get prior authorization for the extra quantity. I recently received knee surgery due to a car accident. However, I was already receiving Oxycodone for the pain associated with me tearing my ACL. The insurance company of the people who were responsible for the accident paid for my surgery, but in doing so, I violated my physician's policy of seeing another Dr. So he cut me off. I have all my medical records and I'm experiencing extreme pain. Searching for Oxy 30's on the streets are out of the question. I have been on Norco 10/325 for 7 years for chronic pain and disc problems. Needless to say they quit working. Dr just switched me to Percocet 10. Is this stronger and will it help my pain? ## Hi Bridget, Sorry to hear about your situation. To answer your question though, YES, the 10mgs of Oxycodone contained in Perocet 10/325 is reported to be more potent than 10mgs of Hydrocodone in Norco 10/325. As to how much stronger it is, answers do vary... but from what I've researched, it's analgesic effects appear to be about 1.5-3x stronger.
