Recently put on opany5mg with oxycodonehcll 5mg for breakthhrough pain 1 -2daily. I took the 2 this am but still feel the discomfort backwithin6hrs. Feel I need 1-2tabs of the oxycodone twice daily. I have Oxycodone that expired in 2000, is it safe to take? ## Wow, that is some old stuff, almost 10 years. If you are asking if it becomes dangerous, then the answer is no, however, these medications do lose effectiveness over time, so it will not work as well as it did when it was newly prescribed.
