I have been made to go to a pain management center since my Dr moved away. She was useless anyway. I found a wonderful new doctor and I have an orthopedic Dr. My new PvP has me on xanax because I broke my ankle and they did surgery, they cut the none out and replaced it with titanium rod stews and a plate. I have literally been in a cast and not able to walk for 9 months so I began to feel like the walls were closing in on me. I couldn't breath. I tried to take the cast off. In a way I went bat s*** crazy. I was put on xanax and it helped me. I'm now in a "boot" which is better. Now here inlays the problem: my DOCTOR and my ORTHOPEDIC DOCTOR said to take the xanax. i have back problems,if my doctor gives me oxycodone will it be a pill by its self, or mix in with other medication? i have 2 cervical bone fusion,they want me to have another bone fusion ,i dont want to have more surgery.i just need pain medication,i was on darvocet 12 years now its gone,and lobratab dont help me.darvocet did ## Oxycodone comes both ways, it is available by itself, and it is also available couple with Acetaminophen, since that augments the pain relief for some people that take it. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications?

Are round blue pills AIG 265 instant release? ## Hi Karen - Are you are referring to round blue pills with the imprint ALG 265 on one side and a score line on the other (L instead of I)? If so, those are labeled as Oxycodone 30 mg manufactured by Alvogen (NDC 47781-265). According to the product label at DailyMed they are immediate release tablets. Inactive ingredients: - Silicon Dioxide - Microcrystalline Cellulose - Starch, Corn - Stearic Acid - FD&C Blue No. 2

Oxycodone was 30 mg every 6 hours or prn. Oxycotin is one 20 mg every 8 hours. It stops working at 40 mg OR 20 mg at about 5 hours.I had a RouxN Y Gastric Bypass several years ago, and my metabolism is fast. Could it be that time released pill isnt working because of the compromised gastric system?I will always need pain meds due to severe double curve scoliosis. It is so hard to deal with the doctors, yet they whistle when they see my xrays. Why is pain medication here if not for cases like mine? Im mid 50's. Been on pain meds for about 6 years. I have been taking Oxycontin60mg but I am now in my coverage donut and can not afford my prescription. I had taken Oxycodone once before and it just didn't work as well. I HAVE OA AND need both knees and right hip replaced, I also have bone infarcts in both legs and in 2003 had a car accident that broke my neck c5,c6 &c7 along with damaging L5 -S1 disc herniation effacing the right S1 nerve root. my sciatic nerve is pinched and the pain is indescribable. I have been under pain management for over 14 years. I never had an issue until the last few months of course I live in Florida. If you do not live in FL you will not understand what is happening. Due to the lovely pill mills and abusers we are unable to get some medications that we need. Most pain mgrs. will not write certain scripts because of the DEA. What most people may not be aware is that to control the amount of pills prescribed in Florida the DEA will only ship so much to each pharmacy. Once they are out they can not reorder they have to wait until the next month before the next shipment comes in this not only creates a problem when trying to fill a prescription but it can be viewed as pharmacy jumping. I've used Rhodes, Amneal & now just starting Actavis. (Oxycodone 10/325) The Rhodes seemed to work well. The Amneal seemed to barely work at all. The verdict is still out on the Actavis. I'd welcome any suggestions on generics of this drug. ## @Steve, Actavis took over Watson brand and ruined the product in comparison as stated by so many long term Watson customers. As a previous Watson lover I can say that Actavis is hit and miss at times. The 5/325 oxy are huge round hard pills that do not work at all. The softer 7.5/325 oxy are effective but not as good as the old Watson by any means. I have just started to use the 10/325 oxy and I honestly think the 7.5s worked better. I am looking for a vitamin that looks like oxycodone - I think there was a mistake when my script was refilled and I suspect it was a vitamin. ## I'm having tooth pain. I'm supposed to be taking 180mg of oxycodone a day. When I had to change Drs. due to too much driving, my file is lost somewhere, so all I'm getting is 10mg of Hydrocodone 4 times a day. Any idea if oxy immediate release by Rhodes Pharma may be left over from a placebo study ? ## Starting last month, I was given these in 20mg tablets. I always feel sick, have a headache, and get no pain relief. It's awful. I just left a message for my dr to see if I can forfeit these, drop my dosage, and get another manufacturer. I recently tested positive for oxycodone. I take lortab 7.5, motrin 600mg, and gabapentin 300mg.
