Peaceful of doctors in Norcross they are getting busted .Mine got busted yesterday while I was there. This is getting really bad so i can't get my scrip filled at all. ## Hi stephanie, Do you need help finding a different doctor to write you up a new script? I would think that you should still be able to fill it since it's already been written, even if you have to fill it via an online pharmacy. Come to think of it, that's actually the route I would most-likely take if I were in your shoes and couldn't get my script filled locally. what is the eqivalent dosage of morphine vs oxycodone? I currently take 40mgs of oxycodone, and would like to change to MS IR, what amount of MS IR is equal to 40mgs of Oxycodone? ## Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so an equivalent dosage would be 60mgs. However, you do need to make sure you taking the same formulation, since both Oxycodone and Morphine come in regular, instant and time released formulations. Thus, if you're taking the regular release formulation of Oxycodone, then you would need a regular release formulation, in that dosage, of the Morphine. The only 40mg Oxycodone available is the extended release, Oxycontin. im taking loratab 10/500. i have 5mg left. i go to my pain management doc on thurs. i already got tested last month and came out neg. i want to make sure it comes out positive this month. my appt at 3:15pm. when should i take to make sure it is in my urine by my appt time. ## Hi summer, Since Oxycodone can be detected in your urine for up to 3-4 days after your last dose, I would think that taking any within 48 hours of the urine test would be sufficient for a positive result. If you have a quick metabolism and drink plenty of water throughout the day, you may even want to try taking one within 24 hours of your drug test, as Oxycodone is excreted through urine. I just moved here from florida and I have been prescribed 130 oxycodone 30 mg for 2 and a half years. I have an mri, script history, and medical record. Can anybody give me any suggestions as to where I can go to be seen and get the meds my body requires? I dont have enough money to run to a bunch of offices just to find out they wont give me what I need. I have a blue and green capsule that I was told it was a 30 mg oxycodone pill is this blue and green capsule a 30 mg oxycodone pill. ## Hi sue, Do you have any sort of imprint or marking on your blue and green capsule? I found a pill the other day it has no markings on it what so ever it's filled with a fine powder of peach substance. My neighbor tells me it's a 30mg Roxy compound. Never heard of such a thing. Anyone else in FL heard of this or might be able to tell me what it is ## If there are no on it, then it's not a legal U.S. manufactured Oxycodone capsule, since they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. The only way it could contain Oxycodone is if it was something that was specially ordered by a doctor and done by a compounding pharmacy and, if this is the case, the only way to know for sure would be to pay to have it lab tested somewhere. I take oxycodone for pain management so I have a prescription for it. I was in a wreck 2 weeks ago and have been hurting worse than usual. Without realizing it I have taken 10 extra pills over a 2 week period so when I go to my pain management doctor it will have been 3 days since I've had any oxycodone. Is it unsafe to take eight 10mg oxycodone pills in an eight hour span? Is this unusual or harmful? Would this be considered drug abuse? I'm worried about one of my friends. ## Not necessarily dangerous. Doses go that high. More important is why your friend needs this much pain medication and why the MD who wrote the script isn't addressing the problem adequately. ## It could be unsafe, if the person is not used to taking that much, so their body has no tolerance to the medication. I have recently heard from Walmart, Walgreens, ect. That untill further notice they will no longer be filling prescriptions for c2's. Does anyone know the truth to this? ## What are you referring to as C2s? And as to not getting them filled, there has been no official word, but this has been an ongoing problem with various prescriptions all over Florida. There have been many people posting about it. what's the rundown on these? iv possible? never seen before, small , pink,round ## I have no idea whether IV is possible with these, but I've been told by a friend in med school that snorting, smoking, ect is completely pointless because these are immediate release. They will not hit you any harder. ## they are snort-able, shoot-able (IV/IM/peritoneally), shove-able (buttplugging), smoke-able, and swallow-able (the 5 S's). the only "safe" way is to eat them as prescribed, but you can sniff them for a higher bio-availability (less drug is wasted). They are also bangable (inject), though this is the most intense and addictive method; physically AND mentally. I am filing a civil action against the FDA -- let me explain what is really going on. There is NO SHORTAGE of Oxycodone. The FDA is forcing drug companies to produce and distribute less because of the Pain Clinics issuing scripts like candy and the handful of unfortunate related deaths of youngsters. I am a Stage IV Cancer patient and ran into the same problem - have to call over 70 drug stores a month to find a place to fill a script that is legal. I wrote a warning letter to the FDA which has been ignored - so now it is time for action. i had oxycodone in my system, i am in an out patient drug program, i drank a detox drink from gnc, dont remember the name only the word eclipse and maximum strength, i folled the directions to a T and i tested positive for opiates, well they are sending it to the lab, beings as i drank the detox do you think it will come back ok, i dont know why it showed up opiates when the test has a panal for oxycone itself, i have done this in the past and it came back ok, just trying to figur out why it showed up opiates instead of oxy ## Oxycodone is an opiate, so it can show up as one on test that look for the presence of opiates, however, I am not sure why it wasn't detected as itself, if they also look for the specific drugs. IM ACCUSED OF TAKING MORIPHINE FROM A URIN SAMPLE AND THEY GAVE ME THE PRESCTIPYION FOR OXYCODONE 5 325 AND HAVE TAKEN IT A LONG LONG TIME IS THERE ENOUGH IN IT TO SHOW IN URINE SAMPLE DRUG TEST OTHER WISE I REALY DONT KNOW WHERE IT IS COMING FROM. ## It would show in a urine test but as oxycodone not morphine unless they are just checking for opiates, then that's what it would show as ## It actually depends on the type of test that they are using. If they are using a less expensive, non-certified test, then they are known to show false positives for other substances anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. Ok went to a New pain clinic yesterday and all went very well except one thing. They had me take a pee test and I wasn't worried about it in ANY way. Well all came back except one thing...it said I had methamphetamine in my pee.I have NEVER EVER in my life taking anything like that in my life. I was so upset I was beside myself. What would cause that to show up like that? Could it be a combination of meds that I am taking?.I am being to think I was set up because they also offer a counseling class that you have to pay for it you test positive. The bottle that I peed in was not in a sealed bag and I didn't see the nurse take it out of any sealed bag, also I just left it on the counter with the nurse after I was done and didn't see any tampering device on it afterwards. As a New Yorker I dont understand how I have heard Walgreens 100's of times on this Blog, is there an issue with mom and pop pharmacies? A Shortage of sorts? I personally dislike CVS, WALGREENS, etc..and just need to understand whats REALLY going on in Florida state. They should issue Medical Tags/Licenses to the real people in Pain across this country. They are already tying all the hands of doctors, pharmacies, and the pharmaceutical companies and most of all US!
