My Dr. was prescribing me MS Contin 30mg. q 8hrs & Dilaudid 4mg q 4-6hrs. + Celebrex 200mg 1 daily. Now he suddenly took me off the MS Contin, I have been in extreme pain! I asked him to prescribe Opana 40 mg or Oxycodone 30 mg., he said NO that Opana and Oxycodone are the same drug. How true is this? Trying to verify for sure which one it is. Can you reply with any other details which you might have access to? Manufacturer? Country? Get off pain meds drink some wine!!!!!!!!! ## While I agree that people should get off pain meds, I don't agree with wine being a conducive alternative. Reason being is if there is any sort of narcotic left in the person's system while they even have half a glass of wine, the combination can lead to extreme depression of the Central Nervous System and be fatal. Just one sip and it might be your last (research it for yourself). The most dangerous thing to mix with a sedative (alcohol) is another sedative or "downer". With that said, has anyone considered trying a natural remedy to help cope with withdrawal symptoms? ## So wut exactly r ur natural remedies for opioid withdrawl.

I went to CVS got mine filled on Feb 18 2014 it was also the Actavis brand Oxycodone and I have taking different brands before and never had this feeling. I am having really high blood pressure, chest pain, my left arms feels asleep, my left leg as well,plus I get this pain down my left leg. I get them filled on the 18th and only takin 11 of them, even though they are prescribed 4 x day. I took 1 Tues morning at 11 am and by 3pm all them signs above came on, it lasted till wed about 6 to 7 pm. everything went back to normal. My blood pressure was fine, and non of the signs about. The only other thing I took was my blood pressure pills. I called the pharmacy and asked them if it had anything to do with the new Actavis Oxycodone since that is the only thing NEW IS THE BRAND ACTAVIS OXYCOD...

I came across this forum and reading everyones stories it really saddens me. I too am a pain sufferer. I have had multiple failed spinal surgeries, I have herniated discs in my spine and neck, severe spinal stenosis, arthritis in my back, deg. disc disease, nerve damage that goes into my legs/feet/arms/fingers, the list goes on. I to have been on pain meds for many years. I have had to find a new doctor months ago as my old one retired. What a task that was. It was horrific. Im in Jersey and I spent days upon days calling all over NJ trying to find a doc to take over for me. Finally, my pharmacist of all people, recommended doc. Hello, I live in Waldorf Maryland I was seeing a wonderful doctor until he passed away. I was getting 90 30mg pills until I changed it to 120 15mg. ( I know what your thinking but I didn't want to have to cut it in half when I needed less ). Because of all the crap associated with anyone taking an narcotic I'm having an extreme issue with finding another doctor. For years I saw this sweet old man and filled them in the office pharmacy I had no idea there was this much of a stigma about the pain drug and the people that take them. I've been taking 150 mg of oxycodone a day for the past three days. My last dose was sat night. I have a test on Friday for probation. If I take multi-vitamins 2x a day with drinking at least a gallon of water each day, and then a maximum qcarbo 32 detox drink the day of, will it show up if they test me specifically for oxy???

my mom has been scraping like a quarter of her oxycodone 30 mg.,and the same with her 10 mg. methadone .I told her she was stupid ,now the test didnt show enough. So they are sending it to a lab that will probably shurely find out that the drugs are not from her body. I just wanted to tell her that their going to find out she's a liar.

The most notable difference is that M30 is made by Mallinckrodt and 114 is made by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. Additionally, M30 tablets have a different set of inactive ingredients (otherwise known as binders/fillers). They contain: FD&C Blue No. 2, stearic acid, lactose monohydrate, and microcrystalline cellulose. I HAVE SPINAL STENOSIS, 7 DD, HAD IV's, EUPHORIC MANIA RESULTED, NEUROSURGEON HAD DR PUT ME ON PAIN MEDICATION. WAS ON 6 OXYCODONES, 20 MGS/DAY. I have been on pain meds for over 2 years now and 4 days ago I quit cold turkey. How long will the hell of withdrawal continue? ## Hello, Misfit! How are you feeling? It can really vary depending on what you were taking and how high your dosage was, but the worst of it shouldn't last longer than a week or two. If they get very severe, then you should seek medical attention. What were you taking and how much? ## taking oxycodone 5mg tabs and taking only 3 a day for at least 2 years straight. dont think that is a lot, but it has been hell since i stopped.

I have had 4 major back surgeries and scs implant have rx for 200 oxy 30's,been taking for 8 years just moved from east coast fl cant' find please respond ## How have you been checking for it? If you're just calling around, then you aren't likely to get an honest answer, because they have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate customer, or a potential thief. Thus, the only way to really get an accurate answer is to go to the pharmacy, with your prescription in hand. All the meds I've gotten in the past...7.5/325 always meant 7.5 oxycodne (h) and the 3.25 meant the acetamenophen..why is it, that this paticular medicine or company explains it opposite...at first glance my thoughts wre 3.25 of oxycone (h) and 7.5 acetamenophen.... which is very confusing. My dr.s put me off work and told me to sign up on disability. well they say it will be 10-11 months to see the judge and have no insurance no $ no nothing right now.
