I have been taking different meds trying to see what works with different milligrams. Please explain to me why oxycodone, morphine, dilaudid, and opana are different milligrams? Oxycodone 10, morphine 30, dilaudid 4, and opana 5; why? ## Hello, Denise! How are you? It's simply due to the fact that some medications are stronger than others. It is the same with some heart and blood pressure medications, a person may need a higher dose of one to achieve the same effect that another one did at a lower dose. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, which carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. Just to give you an idea, Oxycodone is on a half time stronger than Morphine, so you...

I would lyk to kno the difference between a 215 and 224 oxycodone?? ## @Brindle, Both pills contain 30mgs of Oxycodone hydrochloride. The primary differences are that they are manufactured by different drug companies. "A 215" is made by Actavis and "224" is made by Caraco Pharma. The other notable differences patients should be aware of is that they each contain different sets of binders/fillers (also known as inactive ingredients). "A 215" contains: corn starch + FD & C Blue No. 2 + FD & C Blue No. 2 Aluminium Lake + lactose monohydrate + microcrystalline cellulose + silicon dioxide + stearic acid + glycolate "224" contains: lactose anhydrous + silicon dioxide + magnesium stearate + microcrystalline cellulose + corn starch + sodium starch glycola...

I Am Trying To Get 15mg Oxycodone Filled In Maryland... I am in severe pain and my regular pharmacy stopped selling them. ## When I lived in Maryland, I found it much easier to get my pain management prescriptions filled at the speciality pain management pharmacies, since they usually kept a larger stock of such medications on hand. Check you local phone book, or with a local hospital to find a speciality pharmacy that does that, so you can try to get it filled there. I wish I had more ideas for you, but I don't. This has been going on all over the U.S., there have been many posts from people that are having problems getting their prescriptions filled recently. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## I ...

I also found a white pill it's o oval shape and has 20 on one side and an s s with a line threw it. ## Based on my research, the first pill you described is identified as Canadian OxyNEO (oxycodone hydrochloride controlled release tablets) 40 mg. These are round, unscored, yellow, biconvex tablets imprinted with ‘ON’ (underlined) on one side and 40 on the other. The other white oval pill you described is identified as Supeudol 20mg (Oxycodone 20mg Instant Release) made by Sandoz Canada. How are you? I think what you've found is tablet with an Alvogen logo on it, with the number 229 and they list it as containing 7.5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Someone informed me that this was a substitute for the oxy I normally take for my chronic pain after my many surgeries. He said its states this on the label: 8CETAM IN O2 HEW... OK I've never heard of that. Has anyone else? Is it generic for oxy or percs? does anyone have a clue? ## Hello, Sandra! How are you? No, I am not aware of any such thing and those abbreviations make no sense, those aren't used on the U.S. drug market. Several searches have also not turned up anything. Do you know where it came from? Is it possibly something they obtained from a foreign source? The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I too, like many of the posters on this forum, have a legitimate script for 30mg Oxy's. Because of "whatever" the real reason (Ex. DEA, Quota's. FL Shortage) I cannot get this script filled. I've been lucky the last 2 months because my doc switched me to 15's, which seem to be a little more accessible for some reason. However, this isn't an option today due to my doc being on vacation... Does anyone know of a place that has these damn things in the Clearwater/Tampa Bay area? Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks! ## ONE STOP PHARMACY, IN TAMPA HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY OFF OF ARMENIA ## How much is one stop pharmacy? I payed almost $800 for 180 last month in lutz and I can not do that again. Learn more Percocet details here. Who was the manufacturer of the other one that you were taking? Have you tried to see if your pharmacy can order it in for you? ## I found a form on the fda website to report drugs that are not good. Please report Alvogen for their percocet not working. I Have a Urine Drug Screen On Wednesday The 23rd (2011.) I took 5mg Percert today the 18th. Will It Be out of my urine before the test? Also what can I do to help it get out of my system quicker? Does drinker lots of water really help? Thanks for any help!! ## Like most other narcotics, the Oxycodone in Percocet is usually detectable for approximately 5 days, after taking it. However, there is no way to give a precise time frame, because you have to take the individual factors into account, such as someone's metabolism, activity levels, fluid intake, overall health and etc. If you have a prescription for it, then you simply need to inform them of this, when you go in for testing. I am going on vacation in Florida to a wedding. I have a prescription for oxycontin written by much doctor in Missouri. Can I get my prescription filled in Florida? ## Hello, Brett! How are you? It is very doubtful, many people that live in Florida are having problems getting their prescriptions for controlled substances filled there. There are restrictions on how much of them that a pharmacy can order and have in stock each month, this had made it necessary for them to restrict filling such prescriptions to only those who live within a certain radius of their location and whose doctors practice within that radius, as well. This also makes it easier for them to validate the prescription. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habi...

I got some dark green small round pills with an M and 15 on the same side. Supposedly they are 15 mg oxy but the searches I've done show that a 15 mg oxy should be light green with M on one side and 15 on the other. I can't find anything with the imprint only on one side that looks like these so I am afraid to take them. Please help. ## I got dark green pill say m and the box is one the m and 30on it ## The only way you can both be sure that your pills are 100% legitimate is to have gotten them filled with your doctor's prescription at a licensed pharmacy. If this isn't the case and neither of your pills fit the proposed description of real Oxycodone by Mallinckrodt (the manufacturer who's trademark is an [M] inside a box on one side and a set of numbers on the other...

I am having a mri tomorrow ......I am very claustrophobic so dr gave me a Valium RX....to relax me.....I am wondering is my Oxycodone RX would work better for relaxing me please help ## Sorry late reply but my Dr had me on both. Hope went well. ## @Sissy, Because these types of medications affect each person differently, there's really no telling how you'll end up responding to Oxycodone (a potent pain reliever) for the added purpose of "relaxation" - especially since that's not what it's specifically indicated/marketed for. In the event that Valium isn't working, what I would probably do personally is give the Oxycodone a trial period and see how it works for me over the course of several days/weeks. Or like post #1 stated, you could also ask your doctor if ...

I had my dr call in and approve for me to get my refill early. What can I explain to my new doctor to approve early refills due to the old office being closed? ## It sounds like this isn't the first time you've needed early refills, and since dr's can't refill controlled meds anymore, it doesn't sound like opiates, so why not have your doctor adjust your dose? I don't see what the problem is unless a piece of the puzzle is missing. Some things we CAN control, take a little stress out of your life. Good luck. ## Need to have my oxycodone filled early. Got 5/325s on the first but my doctor raised strength to 7.5/325s. Can I get this filled being so close to other ones on the first? ## I had the same basic situation happen to me recently. I used to take Watson percocet and never had any problems and it took away my pain. The Actavis is nothing like the Watsons and have terrible side effects and feels like you are taking a placebo - NO pain relief. If you have to take more to get any type of pain relief you will suffer alot of GI problems. Anyone else notice this difference? ## Hi Lisa, While I don't have personal experience with Actavis products, I have heard numerous complaints about most of their oxycodone and percocet tablets being far below what is considered standard quality. I'm thinking there's a couple different things that may be at cause here. Excess amounts of binders/fillers are usually the first to be blamed for those who experience GI related issues. This is likely the case with most generic med...
