I normally take 2 Oxycod/apap = Percocet up to 6 a day. My question is, can I take Oxycodone if I have ran out of my Percocet? ## If you are running out early, then you really need to consult with your doctor, your dosage may need to be adjusted. ## To my knowledge percocet and oxycodone are the same exact drug, one is just the generic name. ## No - Percocet contains both Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. ## what is the difference btween percocet n roxicodone30mg? my dr. just switched me n he told me roxicodone wuz just perc without tylenol ?????can someone help ## Your doctor is correct, Roxicodone just contains the narcotic Oxycodone in a regular release formulation and Percocet contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. ## I have been taking percocet for chronic pain for 7 years. I have an oxycodone 30 tablet. It was in my pocket and went through the washer. Somehow it is still kind of together. Will it hurt me to take it? ## It wouldnt be recommended, because there is a good chance that it has absorbed some of the chemicals used in the wash cycle, such as the products in the laundry detergent and/or fabric softener. It would be wisest to just properly dispose of it. ## I can't believe u asked such a question. I guess common sense is not so common! ## Same thing just happened to me, derp.. did it still work? ## I wore my Percocets 30 through the washer. They were in a small baggie with my paper saying that I'm allowed to have that dose on me. The pills are still intact but the paper has tiny bits of water on the edges. Will they still be okay to take or ...

I have been taking oxycodone 30 milligram for about 10 years. I have neuropathy in one leg due to nerve damage,(3 back surgeries). I have been taking different brand of generic roxicodone throughout the years, but this new oxycodone 122 by CARA made me deathly ill. I thought I had the flu at first, and had called in sick at work for 4 days before finally figuring it out. Horribly NAUSEOUS with severe headache. Anyone have the same symptoms with this new brand? ## oxycodone 224 by Cara? not 122 sorry ## Here in Jersey people cant get them, thank God i got mine 4 days ago. I understand oxycodone is 1.5x stronger than morphine, but does that take the oral bioavailability into account? I've seen someone say 20mg of oxycodone is equivalent to 30mg of morphine, but is that taking into account that only 30% of the morphine is absorbed by the body whereas with oxycodone it's about 80% So when taking 30mg of morphine you're body is really only getting about 9mg but when taking 20mg of oxycodone you're getting 16mg of it absorbed into your body. I think I am going to be switched from 30mg of Morphine to 10mg of Oxycodone, in terms of bioavailability that means instead of my body getting 9mg of morphine, I'll be getting 8mg of oxycodone instead. Will this be as effective? ## Yes, all of this is taken into account, when the medications are studi...

ehh they arent that bad. I was a little apprehensive at first preferring the malinkrodt (mbox) or a-215's, or k9's but these, all though not wondeful did the job ## Just switched to Zydus 10mg that I take 2 of and was expecting the worse after reading the reviews & they kicked my ass. Like taking a pain med for the first time again. So crazy that the other reviews hate it. Probably accidentally put a ton of active in the natch I got. Lol. ## Everyone is different, so the stuff from one manufacturer that works well for you might not work as well for someone else, and vice-versa. I have fibromyalgia and neurofibromatosis. I am taking Oxycodone and Neurontin. Any suggestions for something else? ## the biggest problem with neurontin is sometimes you will feel AND LOOK like you are drunk. also, they are in the process of changing the class. i believe it will b the same class as your oxycodone. i was put on lyrica some years ago and did not react well to it...i was a blubbering dumb mess. i cried all the time and was dumb as a box of rocks...a 5 yr old was smarter than me. i was diagnosed in 2005 for fibromyalgia, osteo-arthritis, failed lower back surgery and restless leg syndrome. i have been on oxycodone, oxymorphone, elavil (for nerve endings), requip (restless leg), zanaflex (occasional nauseau from oxymorphone), voltaren gel (also contains anti inflammatory fo...

Hello. A friend has come across this medicine. We looked it up online and it does claim to be oxycodone 15. However, it has a bit of a different taste than usual. A bit of a sweeter taste really. I have read they are not instant release therefore maybe have more filler in them??? I cannot find very much on them and have never come across this particular looking pill before. Are they rountine in the US ## That is correct, it is manufactured by Rhodes, and they list it as containing 15mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. Please help.. I have been on narcotics for chronic back pain for 19 years and just moved to VA. I need to find a good Dr. that is not afraid to continue with my meds. I take several different pain meds .Any help would be appreciated.. ## @"Comments Submitted"... Since you've written your question over three years ago, I'm not going to go into any of my history at this point. Where in VA are you located. I moved back here from MD in 2007 and had been seeing a PMDR in MD for over eight years. I did find one in VA last December, but had such a bad experience, by the grace of God I was able to get a PMDR close to home in the same office as my orthopedic surgeons. Just let me know if you've found one or not. ## I live in winston salem nc so if u live anywhere near Danvill...

I've been using Oxycodone for five years for pain management. I read about all the deaths that were associated with this drug which were being attributed to intentional over medications by patients in order to get high. I discovered by pure accident that there appears to be a major flaw in this pill's ability to consistently breakdown in the human system like it is intended to do, especially in the time release tablet. As the pill fails to breakdown and release it's medication, they begin to build up dangerous levels within the upper gastrointestinal track. They eventually do release into your system, but not when you planned for it, and sometimes many stored pills open at one time and dump into your system all at once. It could look like an intentional overdose to those who...

What is this pill oblong white pill with U17 on one side and blank on the other, I was told it is Oxycodone.. ## Hi Kathy, A white oblong pill imprinted with U17 reportedly contains 325mg of Acetaminophen + 10mg of Oxycodone hydrochloride, used for moderate to severe pain. Apparently it is manufactured by a company called Aurolife Pharma. Containing Oxycodone is one thing, but the addition of Acetaminophen is something that should've also been conveyed to you by the "pharmacist", assuming that you did indeed obtain it legitimately. I hope this helps answer your question! ## IM IN PAIN 18 HOURS A DAY AND PERCOET 10-325 DONT SEEM TO HELP ME DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A NOTHER PAIN MEDICNE THAT WOULD HELP

Can a pharmacist change the date of your next prescription of OPANA because you had some left over from the prior months and didn't pick the new Opana prescription up for 7 days after it was filled. The pharmacist adjusted the next OPana prescription 7 days longer the next time I get the Opana filled ## They sure can. Make sure you always get your rx on time ## Thank you very much for the information. It is good to know. I never thought that would be the case. Steve ## Pharmacists are now responsible for helping to curb opiate issues, such as over prescribing, improper prescribing, and etc. So yes, if you tell them that you have some left, they are expected to adjust accordingly, to avoid anyone being able to stock up on an excess. I'm not saying this is what you were trying to ...

MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN SEEING THE SAME DOCTORS FOR MYSELF 13 YEARS & MY HUSBAND 11 YEARS. WE BOTH HAVE SEVERE CHRONIC PAIN. MOSTLY LOWER BACK PAIN BUT WE HAVE MANY OTHER AILMENTS. WE HAVE HAD WHAT THEY CALL PROCEDURES THAT HAVE NEVER HELPED. WE LIVE IN WILMINGTON DELAWARE 19809. OUR PAIN HAS INCREASED DUE TO THE CHANGE OF OUR MEDICATIONS. WE HAD FREQUENT URINE TESTS THAT WERE ALWAYS CLEAN. WHICH TO MY BELIEFS WERE QUITE DEGRADING. WE ARE NOT CHILDREN. WE ARE 50 & 52 YEARS OLD. BUT DUE TO THOSE WHO HAVE ABUSED THE DRUGS THE DOCTORS ARE NO LONGER PRESCRIBING THESE TYPES OF MEDICATIONS. OUR LIVES HAVE CHANGED DRASTICALLY. THE NEW MEDICATIONS ARE NOT EFFECTIVE, NOR DO THEY EVEN COME CLOSE. BEFORE WE HAD A SOCIAL LIFE. NOW WE BOTH HAVE SEVERE DEPRESSION. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO W...

Round brown/tannish pill with imprint of M on top and 57 on bottom. Hatch mark in the middle. Nothing on the other side. ## Anyone? ## Hi Marc, Unfortunately this pill description does not turn up under any of the U.S. prescription drug databases. I also tried searching a several different variations of the imprint (M 59, M 53, M 52, etc); but no luck. Odds are that it could be either manufactured outside of the U.S. or that it is an over the counter medication, as OTC meds aren't required to be listed in the drug databases. If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. Also double check the marking if you think there's anything more to it than what you stated. ##...

Hi, I'm taking 2x5mg oxycodone (mallinckrodt) 4 times a day (so effectively 10mg 4 times a day) for chronic abdominal pain, probably from adhesions. - I dose 4 times a day since I get about 4 hours out of each dose. - I take 2x5mg in order to get mallinckrodt since the pharmacy only has Zydus 10mg which is ineffective for me. Question 1: let's say I can occasionally get away with 1x5mg for a 4 hour period instead of 2x5mg ("variable dosing"). Will this suppress tolerance build-up better than sticking to 2x5mg for every dose ("consistent dosing")? An example. Is variable daily dosing like this: 5mg 10mg 10mg 5mg 10mg 5mg 5mg 10mg 10mg 10mg 5mg 5mg ... less tolerance-building than consistent daily dosing like this: 10mg 10mg 10mg 10mg 10mg 10mg 10mg 10mg 10mg 10mg ...

I have been taking qty of 120/mo,10-325 (percocet) for 2yrs with no side effects. My new MD reduced the qty to 90 and all was ok. He then reduced the qty to 60/mo 2 weeks ago and now my back pain has increased so much I can no longer continue my 1/2 mile daily walks. On his progressive timetable that qty is to be reduced to 45/mo which will be intolerable. I think I will be ok taking the same strength for 75/mo or would I be better off taking a qty of 60/mo 20-325 extended release? I am 84 yrs old and do not smoke or drink. ## Has he stated why he wants to lower it so much? its round, white pf on one side with a score in the middle and 5 on the otherside ## Finding information on this was rather difficult, but from what I have found, it seems this contains 5mgs of immediate release Oxycodone, the active ingredient in OxyIR and it is manufactured by Purdue Pharma. This is a narcotic analgesic and can cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Are there any comments or questions? ## I have tablets on prescription identical to these for ADHD. It would be 5mg of dexamphetamine. Hi I found pills in a bag in my teenage sons room, and I can't seem to find the right answers online as to what they really are and if they are bad. They are round and off white to me since they are not the starch white id refer to for white pills. On one side is a 5, and the other has a M that is a pointy font imprint ( if that makes sense) please note there is NOT a square around the M which most results pointed to oxycodone or Ritalin. It is not scored either. Please help me identify this since all results had inconsistencies on what the pill was based on all the specs. ## The only other one I can find with the marking of M 5, without a square is a 5mg Northyx, which contains the active ingredient Methimazole. It is used to treat thyroid conditions. NDC: 11528-0300 Its typical si...
