I've been taking 45-60mg of oxycodone daily for quite awhile now. My doctor would like me to cut down to 45mg (3 x 15mg) more often and add 10mcg/hour buprenorphine patches and only take 60mg (4 x 15mg) as needed. I've read that buprenorphine patches may cut down the analgesic effect of the oxycodone, have others experienced this? It worries me that my oxycodone may no longer help me reduce my pain. ## Yes, Buprenorphine can sometimes do that, because it tends to cling much more strongly to the opiate receptors than other opiates. However, it is also an analgesic, so you may not need the Oxycodone, once you start it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drows...

Can u be prescribed 10 MG oxy and 15 or 30 at the same time ## Hello, Kj! How are you? It depends why someone is having pain. For instance, if someone is suffering chronic pain, they may be prescribed one dose of time released Oxycodone, as well as another of a regular release formulation to treat breakthrough pain. However, in other cases, where someone is suffering intractable pain due to a possibly fatal condition, such as stage 4 cancer, then their doctor is free to prescribe as they see fit to help keep them comfortable. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am disabled in NE Florida and have been on a pain management regime for about 12 years now. I am currently prescribed and using two differing pain medications in this ongoing he'll of trying to stay ahead of the often unbearable pain. I take Morphine every 12 hours-ALWAYS, and Percocet when needed for the stingy pain days. I also down Ibuprofen like it's candy. Because of this, my stomach has become SEVERELY intolerant of it lately when I have to take the Percocet for breakthrough pain. My physician has attributed this to too much Acetaminophen given that it is added to the fact that I already take so much Ibuprofen as well regularly. He switched my breakthrough med from Percocet (10/325) to Oxycodone 5mg I capsules since it'll cut down on my Acetaminophen intake immensely...

Need a doctor to legitimately prescribe oxycodone in Philadelphia Pa area due to back surgery. Pls help me on ## Hi Mick, sorry to hear about your challenges! I wanted to ask what you have been prescribed so far after the surgery? Also, has your surgeon followed up with you to see how your recovery is progressing? I'm not judging here in any way but one concern I have is that you are basically trying to get a prescription for one specific drug which your doctors may or may not deem to be the best for your recovery. And if you approach new physicians requesting a specific medication it could be a red flag. Are you unable to get your existing prescriptions refilled? Please write back with as many details as you can share so that myself or someone else can hopefully give you some good ...

My tolerance has increased on 1 of my painkillers so I take more of my other painkillers. At the end of the month i'm short on the Oxycodone. So instead of taking 3 a day I only take 1 every day towards the end of the 30 day script. Will a urine drug screen be able to tell what amounts of my scripts I'm taking? I'll take 2 the day before & 1 the morning of my test. The pain clinic tests Metabolites too. Will I fail??? Please help!!! Very worried!!!

Is the 5mg pill a tiny white pill manufactured by KVK,Inc? ## Well, since Oxycodone is a generic, it is actually manufactured by several different companies. For instance, there is a 5mg tablet manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals that is small, white, round and has an M in a box on one side and the numbers 0552 on the other. There is one manufactured by Vintage/Qualitest Pharmaceuticals that also meets this description and has a stylized V on one side and the numbers 4810 on the opposite. There's another that matches this made by Mallinckrodt that has the boxed M on one side and just a 5 over a score line on the other. Another white one with cor on one side and 224 on the other. The white one by KVK Tech has the imprint K 18. And that isn't even all of the 5mg tablets o...

I am taking oxycodone hcl 10 mg tablets. my pharmacist filled a new script with np 12 brand. I occasionally divide them to dose only as needed; which does not work very well. They dulled my pill cutters. Is this normal? Does anyone else have this problem? ## Hello, Dust! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you've had. No, that is a new one that no one else has mentioned, at least not yet. Are you making sure to line it up and cut with the little scores that are on the tablet? That usually makes it easier, since that's where they're intended to be cut or broken. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation...

These aspirin-sized tablets have the number 4839 and a V or a check mark below. I've never seen these before and I'm wondering if the pharmacy made a mistake. It's supposed to be 5/325. ## Yes, these tablets do contain 5mgs of Ocycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Percocet, which is a narcotic pain reliever. They are manufactured by Vintage/Qualitest Pharmaceuticals. The generic that your pharmacy has on hand can vary, at any given time, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, at the time they had to restock their supply. This is how they keep their prices down, for customers that may not have insurance. Are there any other questions? ## Which pharmacy carries the 4839 v 5mg percocet

I've been addicted to oxy off and on for 5 years. This last year has been the worst- dealing with WDs and lying. I'm at the point where it has killed me financially and I can't stand the cycle I'm in. I've cut way back (from 300mgs to 60mg a day). I've tried to fully quit but when I get the urge/craving/depression/boredom, I have no one to talk to- so I start back up. I can see the life I had before...it's so close and have to get back to it. I just need help... From anyone....please. The major issue is that no one knows. I have a live in BF of 1 year and he has no idea. I cannot lie about the "errands" I have to run anymore or why I'm "working late". But I know that if I just have someone to talk to,while making this change- it will help ...
