250mg oxycodone per day po (by mouth) converts to 56mg dilaudid per day po (by mouth). Adjusting for cross tolerance by reducing the dose by 25%. Dilaudid has a widely variable oral absorption rate something like 50-95 percent of the dose absorbs into your body depending on your personal biology, so be careful with oral dilaudid. Oxycodone on the other hand is 80-90%.
The answer to you question is yes. If you are having withdrawals from oxycodone dilaudid will definitely help with that but all depends on how much oxycodone you were taking.
My doctor has tried to do overrides with the insurance so this is all I will have. I'm only taking it when I really need to. I've had withdrawls before they're not fun but i can handle them. Thank you both!
Dilaudid is just another narcotic, so yes it can help, but you do need to be careful not to take too much of it, or you run the risk of overdose.

The best thing to do would be to check with your doctor to find out if it's safe for you to substitute it and what the proper safe dosage would be to take.
Alternatively, you could also ask them about writing for a different dosage of the Oxycodone for that 10 day period.
Is there anything else I can help with?
yes dilaudid will help with oxycodone withdrawals but there is a problem with dilaudid you can eat and get unsick but to get the real bang you have to abuse them and alot of people start just by doing it one time then cant stop because it is the best high you can have just being honest
