I take 2 oxycodone 10 mg every four hours, every day of my life for chronic pain. My urine test came back negative. Dr accused me of running out, I did not. Ever. Why did this happen?

This happened to me twice. I finally did my own research and found the answer, including multiple government websites. Oxycodone does not break down to codeine when your body metabolizes the drug. The test used most often by doctors and hospitals DO NOT test for Oxycodone. They have to specifically ask for that test. They were going to stop giving me my scripts. I had one nurse call me and accuse me of selling my pills. After I schooled the doctor, he called me personally and apologized. Send your doctor this website:
