Oxycodone Show If Not Taken For A Few Days? (Page 2)

I take 5 Oxycodone in a day, I'm in pain mgt. but for the last 8 days or so I have not taken any, and wouldn't you know it my doctor decides to do a urine test on me, sheesh. Any other time would have been fine, that's just my luck. My question is: will this urine test they gave me show that I have not taken my oxy for several days? Or what could the outcome be. Any help on this will be grateful.

Wow, the forts thing I thought was why would you stop taking your meds & be In pain? 2nf was, holy crapyou would be so sick from withdrawals! If we can see you obviously don't need pain meds for any medical reason. I'm so very sure your Dr. Will too. Gosh, & the person who told her to snort the medicine, what are you thinking? You are so wrong to even suggest such a thing. What is wrong with you people?

All addicts are created equal.it doesn't matter to what degree.there is a big underlying issue I think.we all need to help eachother.if we spent less time thinking about our individ out maybe. We woyldnt need this crap.they know we are hurt,weak and now a nation full of addicts and selfishness.I'd take some friends over drugs.its lonely and embarrassing being an addict.

@verwon: some people have pain that comes and goes in waves of severity. You don't know if this person had a natural treatment that helped temporarily or just had the chance to become immobilized for 8 days, while normally they may be forced to perform physical tasks. There are plenty of reasons why someone could choose not to take a medication regardless of how "powerful" it is. That wasn't the question.
Anyway, to answer your question, it's likely the oxycodone will no longer be detected in your urine, but if you bring in your remaining meds for a pill count, your doctor will likely be comfortable with that. If you had none of the drug in your urine and could not produce the correct number of pills, most pain management physicians would refuse to see you again as a patient. Pain clinics are very strict on their rules. However, be very honest from the beginning and let your doc know why you felt you could go without the oxycodone for that long. If its because you found another remedy that helped so much you may not need it anymore, let him or her know, and he can bump you down to a less potent pain medication. Some doctors still may let you go as a patient, but the more empathetic ones will likely let you slide if you have a correct pill count. Others may bump down to a less potent drug regardless of why you said you went without.

Who are you people to accuse this person of selling her meds without knowing a thing about her situation!? You should all know that thousands of arrogant pharmacists who think they have more authority than drs are refusing to fill rx's from legit physicians for this drug. How do you she couldn't find a pharmacy near her to fill it? Take a look at all the other oxycodone questions- more than half ask where to get their rx filled because they can't find one that will and some have gone MONTHS without it due to pharmacists' negligence. You may very well be in this situation soon and then how would you like it if you had ignorant people calling you an a hole and immediately accusing you of dealing drugs? Grow a brain and some empathy. Your pain isn't more important than someone else's pain.
