All the meds I've gotten in the past...7.5/325 always meant 7.5 oxycodne (h) and the 3.25 meant the acetamenophen..why is it, that this paticular medicine or company explains it opposite...at first glance my thoughts wre 3.25 of oxycone (h) and 7.5 acetamenophen.... which is very confusing. Without research from this site I would of thought, I was taking the wrong medicine ..my question is: Why is it explained this way? Thank you in advance

Hello, Confused! How are you? I'm sorry that this confused you.

But, there is no one particular way that it has to be printed, your pharmacy just switched it around this time. The label and paperwork your pharmacy gives you is what they print for you, that's not actually provided by the manufacturer.

Under FDA law, they just have to list the active ingredients and dosages, but there is no special order, like there is on over the counter products.

That actually isn't 3.25 that's 325, no decimal, it's only the amount of Oxycodone that has a decimal point, there is a full 325mgs of Acetaminophen in this… so, in the future, when reading any label from your pharmacy, the lowest number will always be the narcotic ingredient.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Are there any other questions or concerns?
