Oxycodone One Year Old Out Dated
UpdatedCan oxycodone that expired a year ago still be used in an emergency.

Hello, Hal! How are you?
This medication does not become dangerous, once expired, but it does begin to lose effectiveness. Thus, it could be used, if your doctor approves, but the best thing to do would be to dispose of it and obtain a new prescription.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
