How effective are the A51 blue oxycodone pills? Does it work like the mbox 30's V's Or A215???

Yes, it is true for the drug called targiniq, but not for any other. Targiniq is an extended release tablet with Naloxone in it, however, there is no such thing as an instant release tablet, mainly the "blues" with Naloxone in it. People could say so all they want on, but they are either mistaken or completely lying. They obviously do NOT know what the hell they are talking about as the A51's are only another brand made by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and the A215 is made by Actavis Pharma, this is the only difference, they both have the same ingredients minus maybe a filler in them which are most of the time the same or similar.

It does have an abuse blocker called "Targiniq". Read through the PDF like I did and find out that this "Targiniq" activates and blocks all euphoria when "abused" or mixed with alcohol. TRUE FACT, so far the M30s, A215, K9 do not have this anti-abuse feature.

A-215 is a 30mg oxycodone hcl made by Actavis - one of the better 30's out there.

A-51 is a 30 mg oxycodone hcl made by Amneal Pharmaceuticals - average strength

The pills are virtually identical, however when you stick this up your nose, like you shouldn't, the filler must bind to the moisture in your nasal cavity, stopping you from absorbing the drug as the other brands do not. This isn't the case with all people, in fact I know people who get them prescribed all the time and there are no complaints by them for the potency/strength of them. I hear much more on the complaint side for the V's which are the cheapest generic on the market which are made by qualitest. In fact when I fill my meds, I make sure mine are NOT qualitest because they are garbage, the fillers give me a stomach ache and the filler turns to a nasty clay that stays like that anyway you administer them.

Again, A51 has NO blocker, they have no moisture absorbent string in them like the old Oxycontin generics had, and they do not have naloxone in them at all. If they did, they would by law be required to indicate this in the drug labeling because the naloxone would precipitate dangerous full withdrawals that could kill you if not treated medically since it stops an opioid analgesic from performing it's duty.

No, Targiniq has a blocker in it called Naloxone, the A51 blue oxycodone doesn't have naloxone in it or any other blocker for that matter. The A51 is not another version of the A215 with a blocker in it, it isn't even the same brand, this is where people think they know a thing or two about it, which clearly they know absolutely nada. You all need to stop pretending that you guys know some conspiracy that the same manufacturer makes the same thing in an anti abuse version which it is NOT true. I was prescribed the a51's (Amneal Pharma oxycodone hcl 30mg) before and they are just as good as the rest of the better roxys, such as the A215's (actavis pharma 30mg oxycodone hcl), the K9's (KVK Tech Inc. oxycodone hcl 30 mg) and the M 30's (Mallinkrodt oxycodone hcl 30mg) The FDA and DEA would shut the pharmaceutical companies down if they manufactured and sold a drug that secretly provided naloxone in the tablet without the patient knowing. The patient would immediately know, then if they took a pill without the blocker, it would do nothing for 24 hours or more because Naloxone continues to block opiates until it wears off, sometimes beyond a day.

Use them as prescribed, your nose will eventually be all screwed up, it wastes your ability to smell, and it causes massive sinus issues, rots your teeth, destroys the function of the sinuses to filter out particles and you blow out blue boogers all day long with sores, blood and scabs. Also, when you accidentally bust a leg, you'll have a real surprise when they give you perc 10's, you won't get any relief when you need it. You'll merely have to overdose on pills to help your pain.. This is why pain management is only given by strict instruction and assistance from a pain specialist. Granted there are folks that have lifelong massive pain, all of you guys who abuse these meds are taking it away from those who sincerely need them for their pain. Everybody that is in agony to this day now has to suffer because all of you clowns that abuse them are helping the people in need lose their pills because everybody in the US is getting cut back or cut off even if they have cancer, the meds just aren't being dispensed the way they need to be to eliminate pain. You guys all ruined it because of you and your drug abuse. You all need to grow up and see the monster you have all created. It's a shame that not one of you who abuse these and get them from the street, carelessly taking them in a manner inconsistent with their labeling give a s*** that you are pitching in to the government elimination of these very necessary drugs. You guys, by overdosing and dying, you are forcing our government and dea to take these off the market and eliminate them from the people who need them the most.. Don't any of you even care that there are people desperate to get some assistance with their pain because it is so bad they can't even get out of bed? And for what do you do this? So you aren't dope sick? Just because you wanted to feel high? If you all wanna feel high, there's marijuana, but leave the meds that you aren't prescribed alone. They are designed for people who are truly in pain, they aren't meant for your nose.

PEOPLE CAUGHT ABUSING PILLS WITHOUT A SCRIPT SHOULD FACE MASSIVE PENALTIES, FINES AND SENTENCES. THE PROBLEM IS, OUR LEGAL SYSTEM AND OUR POLITICIANS DO NOT THINK IN THE CORRECT MANNER. TAKING THEM Away may prevent addiction caused by the medical community, however they aren't forcing any of us to get addicted, we make that choice. If a doctor tells you it is your choice to take these for the rest of your life, but the problem is, the DEA and the FDA no longer allow new patients the ability to keep being prescribed for many years. At the 2 year mark, these doctors that go to bat for their patients get threatening letters, face losing their licenses and it isn't fair just because some thoughtless prick just wanting to feel high, od's and gets Aids in the process of taking meds away from the real people in pain that certainly could not do without them. Shame on you all.

Folks...some of you are way misinformed....these A51's do not, but they DO make oxycodone / naloxone in the same tablet!..Those of you thinking they wouldn't put naloxone in with oxycodone because they would counteract each other are wrong!..They make them & have been making opiate / naloxone combos for years!...The naloxone doesn't work orally so if you take by mouth normally, the pain med works like normal, but if you abuse it, then naloxone takes over & overrides the opiate causing withdrawal & no euphoric feeling or "high". So YES they do mix naloxone & opiates for abuse deterrents, for you know it alls who are wrong btw.

They make new ones with narcotic antagonist in them. Some people who have been on them for chronic pain for long time will have bad side effects from the new ones. Make them so people can't abuse them! They work for those that haven't been in them for a long time.

First time posting on here after reading everything I could get my hands on that's related to this topic...

Has anyone recently tried insufflating these?

Picked up a few A 51's last week and didn't even realize the difference until I bumped it and my nose started burning like hell... anyone else experience the same? The color itself was a deep blue with darker specks in it that all breaks up into a uniform, light blue powder.

It also seemed like my nose starts to produce more shot than usual in addition to making my eyes slightly tear... once I got past these (<5 minutes) I almost certainly can feel it but am mentally trying to assure myself they're legit.

To all of the clowns trying to say a generic Roxy has naloxone in it, you clearly don't understand the years of R&D required to reformulate (not to mention get FDA approval) medication. And then you have the audacity to cite a single artivle posted by CBS Philly LOL and then say they're doing it WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE?! GTFO with that nonsense

I said I came across some that the pharmacist said where made so people wouldn't crush them. They're oxycodone not oxycotin. He told me the only way the other part was released is if it was crushed. You can look them up if you don't believe what I was talking about. The ones with an A 215 or M do not have the anti abuse stuff in them.

I am not sure about the extra additive he said was in it but he did say it was put there as a deterrent to crushing them. I never said what kind of drug was in it just that it is similar to the drug they add to Methadone and Suboxone. Didn't mean to start a panic. If you think you might have that kind just search them on your phone and it will tell you what you have. Be calm and do your research.

Addiction is a disease and some addicts have legitimate pain issues. They're just wired differently. You speak of people just wanting to feel high. It goes beyond that. And just FYI, people who need them for legitimate reasons and get them prescribed by a doctor can still experience opiate withdrawal symptoms when their dose changes. We also live in a society of babies that have no tolerance for pain and a whole bunch of doctors who would rather write a script than get to the bottom of the actual problem. It's not just on the addicts but the prescribers as well. But unless you've lived it shut your mouth. You have no right to judge anyone.

What was said was that a registered pharmacist said there were new IRs that are made with a deterrent in them so people don't abuse them, then everyone started freaking out. I would suggest if you're in doubt about any meds you are taking to be sure you ask a Dr. or Pharmacy about it or call poison control if you want to identify them. If you think you don't have the right kind don't tamper with them. The new OP oxycontins have a deterrent in them also! This is happening because there's too many people that really need their meds but can't get them because of those being irresponsible with them. This reminds me of the Reagan Days (war on drugs, just say "NO") - That's what Trump was going on about last month. Good luck everyone, being in bad pain really sucks!

Mg oxycodone for over 4 years due to injuries sustained in Iraq and Afghanistan. The A51s are the best and while they can be prescribed with Naloxone they have to be ordered that way in my opinion they are the best
