Oxycodone/apap 10mg/325mg Dependency

How do I get off dependency from this drug.? I take 2 tablets a day.

Paolo, have you tried asking your doctor for help with stopping this medication? They should be able to help you taper off, which can be effective as long as you haven't been abusing it and/or taking extremely high doses.

They do have a new effective addiction treatment using Suboxone, an opiate containing the active ingredient Buprenoprhine, which has enabled many people to be completely drug free, but it is only used for those suffering from severe addiction, not for those who have only been taking a medication as prescribed.

Oxycodone/APAP (Acetaminophen) is a generic for Percocet, this is a narcotic pain reliever.

It is a different substance than Codeine, so many people who have codeine allergies have been able to use it successfully, while some have not.

Since this site is not medical professionals and do not know your whole medical history, we cannot possibly guess if it may have caused your problems.

Have you spoken to a doctor about it?

is Percacet /Oxycodone and just Oxycodone the same prescription?

Eileen, no, to be an equal to Perococet, it would also have to contain Acetaminophen. If it just says Oxycodone and not APAP or Acetaminophen, then it is not the same as Percocet.
