Oxycodone And Morphine

My daughter had surgery. They put her on 15 mg morphine ER. One tablet every 12 hours. Within five hours she's in pain. Pain level reaches an eight on a scale of 1 to 10. Into hour eight. Called the doctor because I only have three more morphine pills left. They gave her oxycodone mg. take 1-2 pills every 6 hrs. My question is, she has 5/325 percocets from another surgery. Is it ok to give her a 1/4 of the Percocet with ( 1 ) mg of oxycodone?

It would be best not to, unless her doctor okays it, because there is also Oxycodone in the Percocet and you could risk overdosing her.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
