Can a pharmacist just be quite and fill the script the doctor ordered for his patient. They lie to us and then fill freds script for the same thing and smile while they do it.We are tax paying citizens in pain and the DEA has made a real mess of everything. Real patients cant even get their meds.

Re: David (# 1)
One day these people who have made this choice are going to find themselves in the position of being in severe pain and wanting pain relief and nobody's going to be able to give him any.
Is there a pain doctor in Jacksonville, FL writing prescriptions for oxcycodone 30 mg?
Re: David (# 1)
Yay for the genius govt. who make it really hard to get your pain meds so pm patients have to go to H to help themselves get relief.
I've always had to show my ID for controlled substance prescription drugs. California, Georgia, and TN. I can't believe Florida didn't require it! That would mean anyone could pretend they are you and fill your script.. why would you want that? Gas stations, grocery, and liqueur stores require I'D for alcohol and cigarettes, and even hydroxycut drink mix. Jobs require an ID to apply for a job. Night clubs require an ID for admission, banks, etc.. My license was revoked from getting too many tickets in a 12 month period, and I still have a government issued ID. It is probably THE most important thing you can have in your wallet, other than money. Not a new thing either! The government is cracking down on pain pills and this is just the beginning! Trump just declared a state of emergency on opioid, so who knows what's going to happen next, but it's coming!
I having an issue with my 10&20mg instant relase oxys. Those they say are taking 3 weeks to order i dont know whats going on. Should take 3 days not weeks. The extended they have
dude opanas sux! There new and very very expensive very!!! Go with some MS Contin or oxycontin the older drugs have come down in price!!!
I was in a bad auto accident back in boynton beach nine months ago and dislocated my L-5 & L-6 disks and started on oxycontin 40mg twice a day and dilaudin 6mg 6x a day (30s are harder to find just go to 40) and from day one i went to a CVS in Boca Raton (where i was living BUT my license showed a Delray Beach Address over 20 miles away) i had no problem. I then moved to Fort Lauderdale, still, with the same license to my local cvs. Just handed her my new script from my new pain managment doctor (just showed him past records and he put me back on everything cause i am allergic to Tylenol and ibprofin*hint*) and my oxycontin discount card from perdua pharmaceutical. They didnt have it this was on a friday so the pharmacist said come back monday when they get it in. So because my records with cvs showed me filling oxys and dilaudin before, they ordered them for me. Asked how many i need per month and said to fill it on the same day each month and they will keep it stocked. Im a 30 year old real estate agent with purple hair lol. No judgement was made. As long as u have a valid reason and records you have taken these types of meds before you should be fine now. Things have calmed down
If that doesnt help, i called up my insurance company (blue cross blue shield of fl ppo) and told them i cant fill my two scripts down here. They gave me the address to their central pharmacy. I overnighted it monday and got it back thursday morning filled with no issues. These two routes helped me through all the junkie judgement and I hope it helps some of you guys too!!
THats so exaggerated. Wheres this doctor act, I am a little past 35 and in extreme pain due to falling head first in a motorcycle accident. Where does this doctor exist. The IR is maxed at 180. THey are very leary scripting bc of these kids. When say things know what your talking about then maybe some day soon we can have less people suffer that are in chronic pain that just get exhausted struggling to fight and deal with the pain. While their relatives or family tell them they don't need it bc they don't understand chronic pain.
Please also be aware of wozika which has a new petiton and a wealth of information on writing and emailing your state senators and congressman. They also show the exact wording or their petition.
Firstly I have never heard such a heartless comment from a professional. Obviouslly you do not take into consideration, the junkie group has been taken out of this problem. No more pill mills, their doctors have discontinued their scripts. All that is left is the elderly like myself and persons with legitimate pain. For you to speak so heartless and total lack of sympathy I find you should not be anyway connected to the health care industry.
Petition nothing. I'm a pharmacy tech in sw Florida.. We don't have to fill anything we don't want to. We have the meds we choose not to order them. We are 100% backed and protected by the law and the board to not fill anything we aren't comfortable filling. But hey, sign your name so the state can track down your pain med abusing self. :) best of luck!!!!
For all who live in Florida you are aware of the terrible problem of filling narcotic pain medication prescriptions.
I am not connected with this petition but want you to be aware of it and I am providing a link to this petition so hopefully pharmacies will be forced to carry adequate supply of medication for refills. I moved to Florida to retire from Missouri. I am sorry I made this choice as I must go sometime weeks waiting on a pharmacy any of them to have quantity to fill my script. As you know 9 out of 10 times the pharmacies never have any on hand. Then we are forced to drive (not able to call) to pharmacy to other pharmacy to see if they can fill it. The law in Florida is so strict you cannot leave your prescription at the pharmacy to be filled, nor can you be provided by phone if the pharmacy can fill it, using walgreens as an example, if at a walgreens and they inform you they are unable to fill it, that store is not allowed to call any other walgreens as a courtesy to see if any other walgreen location can fill it for you. This means spending whole days driving from pharmacy to pharmacy just trying to get a scrip filled. So if this pertains to your life, you can find this petition by going to google and here is exactly what to type into google to find the petition, google "florida prescription shortage petition"
and sign this new petition.
Which walgreens do you go to? City & street? Thanks!
Walgreens is my pharmacy where in obtain my pain meds only. When u obtain your pain meds, didn't you have to sign papers at your docs office swearing that you will ONLY get your pain meds at one pharmacy? I sure did
The reason you show your DL at your pharmacy is so that the Pharmacist can see if your "Doctor Shopping". If your getting different pain med scripts each month from different docs and filled at different pharmacies. At my ONE pharmacy I had to fill out a lot of legal papers basically for the DEA, that I swear that I will not doctor shop, and will only get my pain meds each month from my same pain management doctor, for the legal limit of 120pills. and filled at the one pharmacy I stated. If for so me reason you can't fill the script at that pharmacy I have to tell my doctor within 24hrs, so I am not penalized. By whom I have no idea? This has nothing to do with HIPPA. IF you don't like handing over your license to a Walgreens pharmacist or any other, then that is a sign to them that you might have something to hide And if you do and they see anything in your record on your license they will talk to you, and won't fill it. So hand over your license and follow the rules, its easy. And anyone that needs more than 120 pills a month for any pain with Oxycodone, then they need a stronger drug, or need to listen to the doctors directions on the pill bottle. Most docs write every 4 to 6 hrs. for pain. Some people double up, and that's how people die.
You are wrong, wrong, wrong. The pharmacist who fills rx from shady drs can lose his license. Pharmacists are not allowed to "maintain an addict". A.diagnosis code is now required by the Dea to insure prescription legality. There are a lot of very bad drs out there. A diagnosis of back pain is not a diagnosis....its a symptom. An md is supposed to heal you not maintain an addiction.
That pharmacist was doing his job. You need to find a way to get off pain meds.these so called pain doctors are getting rich off other peoples misery. The Dea is catching up to them pharmacists don't wasn't took be caught in the fallout
Btw, cancer patients are not going without pain meds. Oxycodone is the addicts choice drug.
Flatom, I couldn't make heads or tails out of what you just wrote. Take a class focusing on grammar, then maybe you can partake in an intelligent conversation, but seeing as you think your opinion and sociological facts are the same thing, I doubt it. It literally is a waste talking to you. You have absolutely nothing of value to say thus far, and if you do in the future, I doubt you'd be able to articulate it.Ta ta!
@oxydragon-thats a good name for you A-H-you think you know so much like lawlady-I guess u2 must be related an both i**** as far as I am concerned-Maybe you need to learn how to read for one-everyone knows the pill problem is across the world an my kids have nothing to do with what I am talking about FB,I ran a Business for the last 10yrs an every 20 to 25yr old that worked for me went to the local pill mill to get drugs that they didn't need to be taking because that was nothing wrong with them except they told me they like to get High all 50 of them I went through maybe more,as far as being a good parent i was always they started after they left home by hanging out with i**** like you,I Have chronic pain i live with each day your not the only mf who has pain,an for one like the guy who just moved here from Texas said he had no problem getting his scripts filled in Texas but come to florida an have a very hard time,an the reason for that is the so called sunshine State of Florida the only state in the entire world let Pill Mills open up an start giving out so many pills that it did nothing but f everyone that has real pain,if this State would have never allowed pill mills to open there would be no one having trouble getting there meds ,but when you have the pill mills handing out pills to every person that comes from all other states cause pill mills are not allowed in no other state so they come here, then people wonder why Drug Stores dont have any meds or there out in 30min cause of filling 240pills for people,so its a fact that if this so called good state would have not allowed pill mills there is no one that would be having so much trouble getting there scripts filled,an the way its going soon you will have to Leave this state to get a pain pill.THATS FACT
@lawlady-I dont remember asking you your opinion because what you think Dont really matter to me,I know the people I been around through My Business that were on pills an all there friends was as well,so Miss Know it all tell you what you go on thinking you know everything an the people you treat an run your big mouth to them not me understand cause you make me sick everytime I see your name up with my name on it
Flatom, you are, quite frankly, too ignorant to understand. The age of the average pill abuser is NOT an opinion, it's a sociological fact. I can't really understand the rest of what you said. And I'm not going on MY experience, because that would be irrelevant, get it?? Just like you saying the average abuser is a kid based on YOUR experience is ridiculous and irrelevant. You don't get it. And I'm done trying to explain it to you. Bye!
I recently moved to South West Florida from Dallas Texas and was taking Morphine Sulfate. I had NO problems filling my medication in Texas; however once I moved to Florida I was treated like a criminal! I have had 4 major back surgeries and have been off and on pain medication since 2009. I live in major chronic pain always; with the only complete relief being sleep (and that is VERY difficult)!!! Anyway, I recently decided to withdraw from this medication because I got so tired of the way I was being treated and I had been on it for almost 2 years and therefore was on a very high dose. It got to the point where any reputable Dr would not take me as a patient because they where too scared to write the prescription. For me it was time to give my body a break from the medication.
So I am going to sign the petition and hope/pray that something changes because it is ridiculous what we who are experiencing chronic pain have to go thru just to try and get some sort of relief. We are NOT criminals. We are people with legitimate pain. If they come up with something non narcotic that will help I would gladly take it.
So good luck to everyone out there who is still fighting this battle. I feel for you and hope that it gets better. As for me I am taking a break and dealing with my pain as best as I can so that I can give my body a break from the damaging side effects of long term opioid use, and my pride a break from the judgement of those who have no clue as to what I have to go through on a daily basis.
