Oxycodone - Pinellas County Fl?
UpdatedI too, like many of the posters on this forum, have a legitimate script for 30mg Oxy's. Because of "whatever" the real reason (Ex. DEA, Quota's. FL Shortage) I cannot get this script filled. I've been lucky the last 2 months because my doc switched me to 15's, which seem to be a little more accessible for some reason. However, this isn't an option today due to my doc being on vacation... Does anyone know of a place that has these damn things in the Clearwater/Tampa Bay area? Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
ONE STOP PHARMACY, IN TAMPA HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY OFF OF ARMENIA
How much is one stop pharmacy? I payed almost $800 for 180 last month in lutz and I can not do that again. I have been going to the same walgreens for over 3 years and last month they didn't have them and didn't have any idea when they would be getting more. I am already in debt from getting cash off a credit card too pay for my meds last month. This is ridicolous that doctors prescribe these things and you can't even fill them without paying $3 or $4 each from a shady mom and pop place.
Are I trying to fill 30mg or the 15mg. Where did u get the 15mg filled cuz I can't find any been sick for 2 days
Has anyone had any luck recently getting their prescription filled?
If so, please post back. We have many people who are having trouble finding it in stock anywhere and the information would be very helpful for our site users.

I had trouble for the 2nd time in 2 years since I've been going to pain management. My doctor's appointment was Monday 12/19 - got out of my doctor's office @ 10pm and was searching up until 4pm when I decided to go back to my doctor's to switch me to the 15mgs. I normally get 135 oxycodone 30mg and they wrote me two scripts (spilt scripts) for 270 15mgs. I was able to find the 15mg first thing in the morning (Walgreens in Tampa)- HOWEVER.... PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT IF YOU HAVE SPILT PRESCRIPTIONS - FILLING THE 2ND ONE WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT. I was told by the 2nd Walgreens that they would NOT fill the 2nd one for 2 weeks when the 1st one ran out!!! EVEN though I have been a patient w/ Walgreens for 2+ years and know that I am usually on 135 30mg/month. I went BACK to my doctor's office and had them re-write the 2nd prescription back to the 30 mgs. I was able to fill them at a different Walgreens last night at 8pm. I was very lucky as I had already given up for the day (usually most Walgreens will be sold out by 1pm) and I just decided to stop there for s***s and giggles. Lucky me! You just have to keep trying. I would provide the exact location - however, with as difficult as it is, I would rather not give up my main Walgreens (Sorry). All I can say is try North Tampa - you have better luck there than anywhere else. You WILL find them!!!! It just takes a lot of time, gas, driving, energy, will power, etc. Sounds ridiculous but the past 2 days have been complete torture. It's all a big mind f***! It's hard to believe that EVERY single pharmacy in Tampa, Clearwater and St. Pete is out of stock. They're not. Another tip - lots of Walgreens have DAILY QTY LIMITATIONS. Once they sell a certain amount - they're done for the day. They will still have them in stock - but will NOT distribute until the following day. Also, 24 hour pharmacies have more stock b/c they get shipments throughout the night. Hope this helps!
Thanks Katie. I got my script yesterday, and have spent probably 8 hours driving and way too much gas money looking for a place to fill them in the last 2 days. I will try North Tampa tomorrow first. This really sucks right before Christmas.
Thats a shame, i used to live on Roosevelt Blvd 2270 to be exact. I'm just thankful that my pharmacy here in Delaware has them ,I take Roxicodone 30 mg 8 times a day I get 240 a month, Oxycontin 80mg and Adderall 30 mg. Just got all mine yesterday, I asked my pharmacy if they were going to go on a shortage he said no that the warehouse he gets them from has a huge stock thank GOD. Its a damn shame you guys have idiots from other states trying to get them from those so called pain centers all over the state of Florida. I wish you luck on finding them and i'll add a prayer in for you.. Rob from Delaware.
I am over all of this crap...I am terminal and I also have a full time job...do you know how awful it is to have to go looking every morning before work and then after work until you run out of time? I am so sic and feel so bad...why are they punishing us? Some of us really do need the medication...actually anyone who has been taking this medication for any length of time NEEDS it because they will get sic as hell without it!!! Any suggestions??

Yep same boat here. I live in Largo, have a prescription, and can't fill it. I've been to 40 pharmacy locations, and the most terrible thing is they won't tell you on the phone. If they would just tell us over the phone you could avoid all the run around. It's so terrible now, I'd almost rather just be a vegetable. Anyone finds any near Clearwater/Largo - help a brother out.
I'm looking too in the same areas. I go everyday, and it's really depressing. If I find a place, I will post it immediately for you guys. You do the same please. People are getting them...they are out there, but noone seems to want to share where they got them.
I'm in st Pete and I am having no luck this is crazy. I get so tired of not being able to fill my script. I have had 2 fusions work full time with a family and can barely move. If anyone knows of any place please let me know.
They have them at Promise Pharmacy in Palm Harbor but they are $5/each. They also had them at Park Drugs on Park Blvd for more than $5. I couldn't afford either place but after trying the chains for days I tried mom n pops just to find out alot of the mom n pop places didn't have them or wouldn't fill if you haven't been there before. They also have them at Highland Pharmacy on Highland Ave in Clearwater but unless you go there they will not fill for you, they simply say they are out of stock or backordered but that is not true they save them for there existing customers.
let me respond about Washington State:
DONT MOVE HERE THEY WONT EVEN GIVE YOU YOUR PAIN MEDS......IVE been on mine for 4years and just moved here and they wont give me anything!
looking to, moved from east coast florida no problem filling there.its near impossible to find here.have had 4 major back surgeries and have scs implant.please let me know locales any help would be greatly appreciated..In st.pete
I too have a lot of daily pain have had 3 surgeries anf.need two more with no guarantee to be painfree. The only thing that I have seen with the DEA tehulating FL. Like they are is the mom and pop places getting rich by price gouging the people that are sick and in pain, it's discusting, they should be proud of.themselves. The rich junkies that don't have pain but use them to get high have no problem paying 6 or 7 dollars for the medicine while the Dick and less fortunate are hung out in pain to dry out and figure out how to be pain free
Hi all, I have soooo many pain issues from a car accident back in 2005 that left me with herniated and bulging disks up and down my cervical and thoracic spine. I've been through it all....injections, epidurals, chiropractics, all kinds of tests, and the non-narcotic approach of meds like lyrica and NOTHING has worked. I just moved back here recently and need to find a different doctor....anyone have any suggestions? I would sooo appreciate it as I just can't live with this pain anymore....I want to rip my hair out everyday I wake up b/c of it, and I just can't take it anymore. I would appreciate any help guys, and thanks in advance for your time!
Yes, Verwon. I am in a group of people that are all pain sufferers. The conditions vary from arthritis, to AIDS to degeneratibe nerve diseases. We are ALL having issues filling our prescriptions. We are all FL residents- and this is a statewide crisis. If you post an email, I will gladly give you links to the different pharmacies that have given us trouble.
I am having trouble like the rest of you... I am a mother of 2, have had a bad back for 14 years from first car accident then more issues with my neck since wreck in 2011. I have all herniated discs in my lumbar,3 in neck along with DDD, sciatica, spinal stenosis, no thecal sac, etc... I have been taking the Oxycodone/ Roxicodone 30mgs medications for about 3 years. Now the Walgreens down the road(St. Pete) says they cant fill 15's, 30's & dont think that methadone is considered a "long acting" medication (thats why my Dr. put me on it) ** As of June 1st they say that it has to be filled in a few mile radius from the prescribing Dr (mine is in Clearwater) I have been trying for a week now & if someone could please PLEASE help me find them somewhere in Pinellas thats not $4 or $5 a piece that would be GREATLY APPRICIATED! I have to bring my 3 & 4 yr old with me & theres no A/C in the car!
Pro-options, I would like links to the different pharmacy's
I LIVE IN SARASOTA AND CANNOT FILL MY SCRIPTS! PLEASE, I CANNOT DRIVE ALL OVER. I HAVE BEEN USING MAIL ORDER, BUT THERE IS A WAIT. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR THIS HARASSMENT TO STOP? SINCERELY, LATITIA BIRD

Hard to find
Have you found a pharmacy to fill your scripts yet?
Someone help me. I can't find anywhere to get 30s or anything lower! {edited for privacy}
I've read so many posts with people having trouble finding their meds, how can the pharmacies do this to us. I'm tired of being punished for being injured. I hate walking into pharmacy after pharmacy subjecting myself to the judgement of whomever is behind the counter. Two weeks without my meds now. Can't work, I've lost about 25 lbs, I'm about to lose my home, and their isn't a whole lot I can do about it. I lead an un eventful 9 to 5 life. I've taken oxycodone for about 5 years, all of a sudden, I can't fill my script anywhere. I've gone to Walgreens the entire time, now they won't fill for me because my doctor is in Tampa, I live in st. Pete. Never been an issue, but it is now. Please, if anyone knows of a pinellas county pharmacy that will fill, please, let me know....thank you, and God bless.
Something needs to be done, I am broke because of this issue spent over 16,000 last year, lets exchange emails or sumthin. let me know
Hello INPAIN4EVER, I am quite interested in the letter you say you will compose. This medication fiasco is unbearable, and something needs to be done. Your approach sounds a decent place to begin! Please contact me with the letter you are proposing, I'm over the hassle of wasting gas, MONEY, and time trying to stay somewhat pain-free. Thanks!
are you freaking insane people like you are the reason we all who live here are suffering out of town trying to buy off the street god i hope the police find u
I REALLY BELIEVE THAT ALL PEOPLE IN EXTREME PAIN AND ON PAIN MEDICATIONS IN THE HILLSBOROUGH AND PINELLAS COUNTY AREA SHOULD GET TOGETHER FOR A TOWN MEETING AND SIGN A PETITION TO OUR CONGRESSMEN It's usually best to send letters to the representative from your local Congressional District or the senators from your state. Your vote helps elect them -- or not -- and that fact alone carries a lot of weight. It also helps personalize your letter. Sending the same "cookie-cutter" message to every member of Congress may grab attention but rarely much consideration.
Keep it Simple
Your letter should address a single topic or issue. Typed, one-page letters are best. Many PACs (Political Action Committees) recommend a three-paragraph letter structured like this:
Say why you are writing and who you are. List your "credentials." (If you want a response, you must include your name and address, even when using email.)
Provide more detail. Be factual not emotional. Provide specific rather than general information about how the topic affects you and others. If a certain bill is involved, cite the correct title or number.
NOW IF THIS IS NOT SOMETHING EVERYONE COULD DO I WOULD BE WILLING TO WRITE A ONE PAGE LETTER AND PRINT OUT AS MANY COPIES AS NECESSARY TO MAIL THEM TO EVERYONE INTERESTED BUT I WILL NEED HELP WITH A PRINTER INK CARTRIDGE AND STAMPS TO DO THIS OR HELP AT A LOCAL PRINTING STORE TO PRINT 500 OF THESE LETTERS, I WILL SUBMIT A SAMPLE LETTER FOR EVERYONE TO OK, IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED, I WORKED AT A LAW FIRM FOR 3 YEARS BEFORE MY INJURIES AND WOULD LOVE TO STAND UP FINALLY AND GIVE OUR SIDE OF THE STORY, BECAUSE WHAT THE DEA HAS DONE TO HINDER US FROM GETTING ALL MEDICATIONS HAS COST EACH OF US THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN GAS, TIME, HIGHER PERSCRIPTION PRICES AND DOCTOR FEES, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE WOULD BE INTERESTED IN HELPING ME FINANCIALLY GETTING THIS STARTED SOMEHOW EVEN OPENING A NONPROFIT WEBSITE FOR PEOPLE WITH LIFELONG CHRONIC PAIN OR TERMINAL PAIN, THANK YOU, SIGNED INPAIN4EVER
