Oxycodone Hcl 30mg

can anyone tell me if you can take oxycodone Hcl 30mg by breaking it in half. I have them for chronic pain. It is a blue round pill with a V on one side and 4812 on the other. The pill is scored on one side. It seems to be a high dose for one time. I would like to break it and only try one half the first time but I dont know if it is an IR or CR tablet. I don't want to do anything that is dangerous, just need pain relief. Can you take it safely by breaking it in half?

Yes, as long as your doctor or pharmacist hasn't instructed you otherwise, you can safely break this tablet in half to try half the dosage.

This is a regular release tablet, not an instant or time released formulation, it is a generic for Roxicodone.

If you are new to taking it, you should be aware that it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation.

Hello. My name is Joe. I broke my back when I was just 12 years old. I was on pain meds 15mg Oxus eventually going up to 30s when I was 16 to 18. It is douche bags like yourself that are the main cause of all of this B.S. from the DEA . You say in your post, "Anyway you could sell a few", - really?!?!. If this isn't a text book example of illegal diversion of oxy from someone that was entrusted with a script of oxy's only to sell a few to you? What would happen if some idiot with a script sold you a few, and then later that afternoon when your neighbor and their child happened to stop by, happened upon those illegal oxy's that were also illegally diverted to you, and ate one, two, or three. That kid would be added to the 7+ people that OD each day in Florida alone.

If you have a problem, I urge you to seek out professional help with a specialist that can help you. Suboxone is a wonderful medicine that WILL release the oxy demons from calling you 24/7/365. Is every waking moment of your day consumed by thoughts of how can you get your opioid fix? I bet it is. You know it too. Stop lying to yourself. Get help. Save yourself from being a statitistic yourself, or better yet, evenjail. What you asked for in this forum is so FN illegal, you are looking at years in FSP. Can you imagine going thru withdrawls while in jail? Let me tell you from my own experience, it was pure HELL. The jailers didn't give a s***. They took my BP every hour,that was it. Free yourself under your terms, not while you are incarcarated.

Yes, I've been takin the v 4812, oxycodone for yrs, I always break in half. It's just like takin a 15 mg. No worries what so ever! I believe that's the reason they have a line through the pill incase you don't feel comfortable takin the whole the pill.
