I need a doctor that will prescribe oxycodone 30mg in New Jersey. My doctor recently took me off of 30mg oxycodone because I tested "negative" for oxycodone because I lost my prescription that month. I was seeing him for 2 years. I have a serious back problem - 4 discs are herniated and 1 disc is GONE. Most doctors just want to refer me to a orthopedic doctor to get surgery. I DONT WANT SURGERY I am too young!!

Frank!! I was in the same situation I was first prescribed Percocet then oxy's, I am 32 years old, I have never used drugs prescribed or illegal up until I was in a very very bad car accident so at the age of 26 I had surgery. Now I have 6 Rods and 12 bolts in my lower back, but to answer ur question I know of a doctor that wil definitely prescribe u what u need. As long as u have a MRI or some kind of proof that ur back is really hurt ( just send me a message and I will give u his name and number) that is unless u have found a doctor already... And if anyone else is having the same problems feel free to get back to me....

Terrible that they take medication away from real sufferers. I had 3 back surgeries and now I have what is called failed back surgery syndrome. I need pain medication but no one will prescribe it. If they do prescribe it the pharmacy is almost always out of stock. I don't know what to do. I'm in NJ 5 miles from Paterson. Any recommendations pls let me know.

I am in Atlantic City for three days left my oxycodone at home by accident need to find someone who can help me for three days meds. Will docs do that? I take. 40 mg a day but I will take what I can get at this point even hydro odor wod help, brain surgery. 8 months ago and 5 tumors on spine now I want to enjoy my trip

Frank f I am in the same situation I had brain cancer about 4 years ago and the tumor mass was in the back if my head right by my upper spinal cord...I have been settling the pain w street medication because I never had medical insurance. But now I have medical insurance and I am tired of going broke just to live. I am also looking for a doc in New Jersey so if you have any new please get back to me my email is {edited for privacy}

I'm 69 years old and have a very bad spine. My advice to you is have the surgery while you are young. I wish I had! Now they won't do it because I'm too old & have a bad heart. Can't get enough pain medication to help.

Hi, Frank! I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.

However, if surgery is a possible solution that would end your suffering, there is no such thing as being too young for it. It would do you far greater harm over the long term to keep taking narcotics to treat it.

Additionally, if you've been dismissed by your doctor, then that is going to be noted in your medical records and other doctors aren't going to want to prescribe controlled substances for you.

Upon losing the prescription, you should have filed a report with the police and your doctor.

I really wish I had other news for you, but I'm afraid I don't. Under the new government regulations, if you're not pursuing all viable avenues of treatment, it's going to be very difficult for you to just keep getting pain medications. Improper prescribing has been a very big concern.

What type of surgery do they want to do?
