Is oxycodone hcl ir 5mg tab habit forming and if so, how bad?

As with any highly regulated narcotic there is always a demand for it, whether it be for some sort of chronic pain, or for abusers on the black market. From time to time it goes on backorder because there may not be enough to meet the demand. From working in a pharmacy it doesn't seem to be as commonly used whether it be for legal or illegal purposes as percocet, vicodin, or oxycontin

Yes, Oxycodone is a narcotic, so it can be habit forming, however, how much really depends on various factors. Such as how long someone is taking it, how much they are taking and the person's own body.

People that abuse it are going to have more problems than those that just take it as prescribed.

Yes, it is very habit forming. I suggest that if it is needed you only take what is really needed and no more. Your body will feel the withdrawal effect from this medication if taken on a constant basis. I myself did not know how habit forming it was until I was trying to get off it myself I am still struggling with weaning myself from this medication.

I believe the blue specks in oxycodone 5mg are for police to be able to see if people are using them recreationally since the blue dye would show easily in the nose, because when wet they get really blue and kinda stain fingers too. There's no difference in the pill, I just believe it's for that.

I have oxycodone 5mg with blue specks. Why do they have blue specks? I've never gotten this kind before, they have always just been round white pills.
