Oxycodone 5/325 Tramadol 50 Mg

I broke my foot and I'm in severe pain. What I have is called a lisfranc fracture. I was on Tylenol threes and they didn't help and then I got hydrocodone 5 - 3 - 5 and they didn't help the last thing I tried was Oxycodone 5 325 and they still didn't really take the pain away. So I asked my doctor for something that would help the pain and he prescribed me Tramadol 50 mg. I am apprehensive to get it filled and try it because I'm not reading anything positive about it. Please help! What is the next thing I should ask for if Oxycodone 5 325 isn't helping with my pain? I don't like that it has so much Tylenol in it I would rather have something just for the pain that doesn't include Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Please advise if you can. thank you!

While being a mild opiate pain reliever, Tramadol does not contain Acetaminophen (Tylenol), or Ibuprofen.

The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Have you gotten it filled and tried it, yet? It does work wonderfully for some people, but not for everyone.

I would like to help u with your problem. I have severe ra and also nerves compressed in my spine. I'm started on 15 mg of oxy. I was on percocet, tylenol 3 and finally I told them I cant take tylenol anymore. So they put me on straight oxycodone IM. That's immediate release. Oxycontin is time released and it is not as good. Then they put me on oxycodone 30 and I took that but at the time it was too much. Now im suffering cause I dropped myself back to 15 mg of oxycodone. No tylenol. It is a big difference. Just tell them u need oxycodone 15 or 30mg Immediate release. I've been on many drugs but I think getting the tylenol and ibuprofen out and just taking oxycodone IM, u will see a difference. I'm getting use to 15mg now since I've been on it 12 years. So I'm going to try to get my 30mg IM back. Oxycontin is not IM. It didn't help me. It's time released. Same drug but IM is immediate release And oxycontin is time released. RA is very painful and oxycodone is good. Hope this helps u and others. I am 58 years old and been thru the ringer and worked hard all my life even as a kid. Now suffering and believe me I will swear on oxycodone. Just need more as u get immune. Hope this helps everyone. Get rid of tylenol and ibuprofen. If u need stuff u can buy it over the counter. And not in oxycodone. Try this, u will be relieved and feeling better.

I would like to post an update. I went to a different doctor and told them that the five milligrams of hydrocodone didn't work so I tried 5mg of Oxycodone and that still didn't really take the pain away so this new doctor prescribed me 10 mg of Norco which I find out is hydrocodone and that's weaker than oxycodone so basically she gave me the same exact stuff if I'm understanding it correctly. I called her office back and said that I need something stronger and that I'd be willing to try 10mg of Oxycodone. I would love to get Oxycontin, but I think I'm Dreaming there. I just would prefer do not have any acetaminophen or ibuprofen in my medication. I know why they do it, but I don't want it
