Where do u live, what state. If you go to a pain manegment you might get treated better. Also from experience don't take it. Call him on it" excuse me doc, but I am not a junkie I'm having severe pain in my? And I need help" when confronted it usually changes.

I live in Milledgeville/Eatonton GA and was seeing a Dr in Grey, however the DEA shut him down. I've been taking oxy for many years but now I don't have a Dr. Is there anyway you can get me a name and number? I'd be great ful for any help you could pass my way.
Thx

At last someone with sense! No doctor ever held a gun on a patient and forced him/her to OD! Patients should be required to watch a documentary tutorial video which explains in detail exactly what to expect when taking prescription opioids, including side effects, tolerance vs toxicity, signs and symptoms of abuse, and how to administer emergency first aid when someone overdoses! The difference between medicine and an illicit drug is simply this: if you take the drug exactly as it was prescribed then it is medicine. If you exceed the prescribed dosage in any way, in any form, then it is no longer prescription medicine. Opiates have a high potential for abuse and anyone even the most innocent person can fall into the opiate loop! For example, a preacher in a small town suddenly has an automobile accident. The doctor prescribes opiates to that person and then 6 months later when the injury has finally healed the person is still addicted to the opiates, potentially, most likely abusing them by then! What started off as an innocent pain reliever soon became a $60 a day habit. There are literally thousands of people out there that this has happened to and they keep it in the closet because they don't want their family or their friends or congregation to find out that they are continuing to take the drug in a phenomenal amount daily. But the amazing thing is how completely ignorant most of the public is when it comes to knowledge of Oxycodone... Oxycontin, Percocet, Tylox, Oxycodone IR - they are all the same drug and this includes so-called Roxy's. Roxicodone is the BRAND NAME for Oxycodone products made by the ROXANE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY! Roxane also manufactures other C II opiates like morphine, hydromorphone (Dilaudid), Oxymorphone (Opana), and others. OxyContin is also BRAND NAME for Oxycodone which is CONTINuously released over time. CONTIN is just a time-release formula, and other opiates are time-released too, such as MS CONTIN which is Morphine Sulfate in a time-release formula. Instant Release (IR) formulas dissolve within seconds after swallowing them and deliver the entire dosage at once. CONTINs do not; they release a portion of the dosage quickly and then over time gradually release the rest in order to maintain a CONTINuous amount of the chemical in the bloodstream by a process called micro-encapsulation which encloses micrograms of the drug in a plastic matrix which melts slowly in the small GI tract allowing absorption while the plastic is passed on to the colon and expelled.
Anyone who believes that abusing an OxyContin will give all of the dosage at once is sadly mistaken! To avoid being abused, manufacturers are using formulas of plastic matrices which cannot be broken down! That's why drug abusers pay higher prices for IR's. Oxys, Roxys, Percodan, Percocet, Tylox, OxyContin, OPs and many others ALL HAVE OXYCODONE AS THE MAIN INGREDIENT! No product is Oxycodone alone! They all have fillers, binders, and other ingredients such as Tylenol, Aspirin, sugars, wax, plastic, and others. Read the current Physician's Desk Reference! Know what goes into your body and brain and what it does once it's in there! Hey, I'm a 9th grade dropout, but ask any pharmacist or Pain Management Specialist and you'll see that I am spot on. Take your meds as prescribed and never ever take a drug without looking it up first. Be careful. Be smart. Stay informed. A word of advice: avoid psych meds if possible. Treat all others as deadly poisons. Because taken without knowledge, they are exactly that! "Hey Doc! Can I get my ADDERALL now?

Re: Verwon (# 1)
That's another problem that needs to be resolved. People in today's world are not stupid. We should not have to play dump and beat around the bush hoping your doctor takes you serious. To be looked at as seekers is ridiculous when you know what works for you. There may be times that is true, but a doctor should know the difference.
Re: Verwon (# 4)
I live in St Paul MN and am looking for a pain management clinic that will prescribe for me. I have several pain issues documented. No cushion in left side vertebas in neck w/ a pinched NERVE going up through it which causes pain in neck up to left eye causing major headaches & left arm feeling pins, needles, and severe numbness. Lower back same thing with no cushion between disks on the left side. Arthritis though out back. Broke right knee 2 years ago, I get shooting sharp pains through it and when I try to kneel. Sometimes it hurts so bad I have to scream and I can not raise off it with arthritis already setting in. The problem seem to be in 2011 after my youngest son committed suicide I got lost using illegal drugs for 6-8 months, but I sought help. So they're thinking that I have a problem with addiction, which I don't. What can I do? Is there a doctor in MN with experience in LIFE SITUATIONS THAT WILL HELP ME? PLEASE...
Re: Ronald David Sadler (# 5)
You are in trouble no good drs left all of them are scared to death
Re: steve0 (# 15)
Send them to me instead, I'm prescribed ;)
Looking for dr in Staten Island, Brooklyn or Manhattan that will prescribe oxycodone or even norco. Legitimate patient, MRIs etc thank you!
That is an impossible thing to obtain with the new laws unless you ever find a Dr. that will allow you up to 90 mg. a day. I'd give anything to have even a 20 mg Oxycodone, and they can have my Oxycontin.
Doctors are only allowed a total of 90 mg a day in every state.
Re: Belinda (# 1598)
There's doctors that prescribe above the 90MME suggested by the CDC and FDA, but there's very few! It depends on what's wrong with you and everything imaginable has been done for you. Notice I say, "suggested". It's not etched in stone. I'm on well over 220MME of oxycodone, but my epidural space from S1 to L4 is severely scarred from an infection along with severe peridural scarring from S1 to L4. Yet that's not near enough medication since all synthetic opiates were destroyed in 2014 so addicts can't feel high. Leaving patients in severe pain like myself up the creek!
I was on half that amount of medicine before the medications were altered by big pharma under government mandate! The chemical matrix that caused oxytocin to release from the pituitary gland was removed from ALL synthetic opiates in 2014 making them 70% to 75% less effective as far as analgesia is concerned. The government only cares about addicts getting high and has NO concerns about patients suffering whatsoever!
We now live in a world of complete insanity run by anti drug government thugs who play doctor and use FAKE data to justify their lunacy on suffering Americans... All the REAL suicides of suffering human beings who can't live in severe pain are covered up and swept under the rug! There's more than enough evidence against these government thugs who should be charged with involuntary and voluntary manslaughter for their actions! Yet you can bet the farm that absolutely no one will ever be held accountable for anything whatsoever!
Re: Kyboy (# 18)
How nice... those clinics won't be around long unless the guidelines (not laws as the doctors tell everyone. This is what caused the Opioid Crisis... people coming from out of state to Florida to get their meds from drs at pain clinics who would write scripts 'for just about anything'. Been a chronic pain patient for over two decades. Started seeing a new doctor about 5 years ago... was getting what I needed, then suddenly cut off everything but my valiums, and given script for Tylenol with Codeine, which barely takes the edge off. Migraine...forget it! I have RSD, HERNIATED AND COMPRESSED DISCS 3 KINDS OF ARTHRITIS, SCIATICA, BOTH SIDES, MIGRAINES. ALL IS DOCUMENTED.
I am my 86-yr-old Mom's with Dementia caregiver, but the pain is keeping me from caring for her more and more, where soon am going to have to place her in a home. I hate this... as her caregiver, I can barely do it, and only getting worse with her progression into this terrible disease. Yet without my pain meds, it is forcing me to make the choice because I just can't do it any longer with the level of pain I am in. It's ridiculous and uncalled for. Wht are legit pain patients being treated like recreational addicts??!!
