Oxycodone 30 Mg Imm Rel Tabs

I picked up my prescription of Oxycodone 30 Mg Imm Rel Tabs on 1.24.2012 at 4:30 pm. After counting them this (about 3:30 p.m.), I found out that I only have 17 left. There is no way that I could have consumed 12 or 13 tabs since yesterday. Could the pharmacy accidentally miscounted them? How do I go about finding out about this? I am extrremely careful in taking care of my pain medication. I am a chronic pain suffered after sustaining injuries 2 yrs. ago in a head-on collision with a drunk driver. Thank you.

I'm sorry, but once you have left the pharmacy, there is really nothing you can do to prove that they shorted you on the pill count. I am sorry that it means you'll run out early, but this is simply the fact of the matter.

There are people that would take that many in a day, or sell them, and then try to claim the pharmacy shorted them and I've no doubt that pharmacies deal with this type of thing all the time.

In the future, you may want to check your prescription while at the pharmacy, you can even ask your pharmacist to count them with you. In the meantime, the only thing I can suggest is speaking to your doctor, they may be able to write a different prescription to help you, so you don't run out.
