There is a time release formulation of Oxycodone available, it is only available as the name brand Oxycontin and is taken ever 12 hours.
The one manufactured by Amide is an instant release formulation, so it is meant to release all of the medication, as soon as you ingest them.
There is also a regular release formulation that is available as a generic and under the name brand Roxicodone.
