Oxycodapap And Rls

Why would this medicine help RLS and insomnia? I have been taking the max allowed of ropinirole for RLS, but RLS is getting worse. When I am walking the floors, in pain and can't be still, I would try anything. I remembered this medicine I had from Breast Cancer Surgery; I took one. I went to sleep almost immediately. The second night, the same thing. The ropinirole is not working. I took another one. I went to sleep. Slept all night, woke up felt great. What is going on? Tonight instead of starting the ropinirole, I decided to try one of these Oxycod/apap pills 5 to 325 mg. (?) . Anyway, I feel fine. I have not had any restlessness. i am able to sit still and watch TV. This can't continue, as no doctor is going to prescribe oxycod/apap. Why is the roprinirole not working. I could feel this coming as it has seemed for some time not to be as effective. I was trying to see if it was a coincidence or if it was really happening. I think the oxy.....is working and the ropr.....is not and I know that I can't continue to take oxy... What is in it that works? Is there something else?????

It is normal for your body to adjust to any medication you take for a long period of time and for it to become less effective. Normally this requires a dosage adjustment, or switch to a different medication.

The reason the Oxycodone may help is due to the fact that is acts as a depressant of the central nervous system and causes drowsiness, as a side effect.

Have you consulted your doctor for other alternatives?
