Is Oxycontin more addictive than morphine? ## Ive been doing 80 mg OCs,or 100 mg morphines daily for almost 4 yrs. Now I'll be honest if one or the other is avilable, I'll doo both. Bottom line, I have 3 beautiful girls, and daddy is slipping. All the clinics around will not give a non liquid take home. I work in Indiana and live in michigan,real early hours. needless to say every clinic has turned me down. I know how hard it is to decifer weather my little story is heart felt.I do everything in my power to raise my kids right. But when daddy is sick, just from the oc and morphine, and alot of times herion.I can't find a doctor who would be willing to concider takeing my case into consideration. I've been on oxycontin for a year---for pain. Had a bad accident, almost three dozen fractures. Have been tapering for past couple months, down to 10 mg oxycontin/day plus one or two 5 mg fast-acting oxycodone if withdrawal starts. So I'm on about 15-20 mg total/day. I plan to go cold turkey on Friday. Am I crazy to think that in a week to 10 days I'll be back to "normal." I've heard everything from 1 week to 3 months for withdrawal to go away. I have clonazepam to help with withdrawal pains, and gabapentin (leftovers from when I was in terrible pain). Advice? Home remedies? Experience, strength or hope to share? Somebody Please HELP!!!!!!!!!! I was once so hooked on oxycontin and heroin that I would do around 5 80mg oxys a day. I have kids so I tried a methadone clinic 2 years ago. Proud to say I'm a father again and haven't touched the stuff at all since. My problem is: A month ago when I was sick my mom (who got me started on oxy's and hate the clinic like you wouldn't believe...I know great mom!!) woke me and said here take these Tylenol's which I did and turns out I took two valium....I then a couple weeks later get called in for a urine test at the clinic. I put about 2 parts water and 1 part urine in my sample cup. 3 days later I'm told I've failed the test. I lose my take homes and have to pay 300 bucks a week for gas....yay o fuc*en yay. My friend was busted in Florida for 150 oxycontin pills. Does anyone know if that is considered more than 4 grams? ## The grams are based upon the mg but the charge isn't. 150 would be well over the minimum needed to charge possession with intent to deliver as a felony. I have been taking 20 mg oxycontin 2 x per day and 20 mg oxycodone 4 x per day for chronic migraines for the last 2 years and before that we tried norco's and butran's patches but the oxy works the best. Lately it seems that the oxycotin is not lasting the 12 hrs it should and I feel myself going through withdrawal about 8-9 hours after taking one oxycotin even with the oxycodone. Does my tolerance with these medications be why the oxycotin is not lasting the full 12 hours it should? I go to see my doctor in 2 days. I am going to be out of my oxycotin tomorrow and I am scared of the withdrawal as I feel like I want to crawl out of my skin and I start flopping like a fish. Hi..I am currently taking OxyContin 20mg 3xdaily, Percocet, Zanaflex, Neurontin & Trazodone for the chronic pain that I've been suffering for for over 13 years of a debilitating illness called: Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. The pain started out in my lower legs & only at night (13 yrs ago) & it now it effects every inch of my body. Nerve, bone & muscle pain all over. On a good day my pain levels are a (2), on an icky day they are (6) and when the weather conditions become bad (rain, snow, humidity) as well as air conditioning, sitting or standing for more than 30 min at a time,,,etc..I'm a (9/10). How can it be possible to fail a drug test (quickscreen at home drug test 12 panel) for oxycontin and methadone when absolutely knowing that I've only taken 1 Watson 853 round shape and peach color. Only reason i even took the 853 was i thought it was my heartburn meds. Wife popped a drug test on me and i failed for methadone and oxycontin. Any pharmacy can order the Sandoz generic Oxycontin for you, you just have to have the correct script. They do come in a 10mg dose. Your doctor, when writing the script, has to make sure NOT to put a 'tick' in the box that says 'no brand substitution permitted' so you will be able to obtain the generic brand, otherwise you will automatically be given the reformulation. why have doctors in memphis tn stopped prescribing pain meds? ## Based on what's been going on lately in the pharmaceutical world, my guess is that most of the rudimentary doctors have become reluctant to "over-prescribe" narcotics, because they fear that they will loose their licenses upon doing so. we have an eldely dog that has bad arthritis,i have been giving her 1/2 of a 5 mg tab twice a day,it to works well,but like with all ir meds,there is peaks and valleys.
